Hello, can someone please help me? I downloaded and unpacked the Thailand map. One file was generated, "gmappsupp.img." This file was copied to the SD card in the "Map" directory. The SD Card is in the Nüvi 1490 and is recognized by Base Camp. But I can't find the Thailand map on the Nüvi in standalone mode. In the "Change Country" setting, there are only countries from the Europe map offered. What could be the problem?
Is it possible to upload here any pictures ? I have some pictures from the directory and from Base Camp.
Thank you.

BaseCamp see's all .img files but older devices have to follow their specific naming protocol.
The file after extraction is named gmapsupp.img if you renamed it to gmappsupp.img it won't work ,
check it and on a FAT 32 formatted SD card less than 32GB and yes it does live in a folder called Map.
This is seen in your garmindevice.xml
<Name>SupplementalMaps</Name>
<File>
<Specification>
<Identifier>IMG</Identifier>
</Specification>
<Location>
<Path>Map</Path>
<BaseName>gmapsupp</BaseName>
<FileExtension>img</FileExtension>

Download [Please Register or Login to download file] it will give you a safe way to remove old maps
,make a back up and ensure you have the right folder and name for the .img file for the specific device.
