I downloaded the gmapprom.img from here. However, It does not work from the SD Card.
I changed the name to gmapsupp.img. It also does not work!

Thanks a lot!!

Welcome to the forum, you did not say which one of the four you downloaded ,what error you got or where you put gmapsupp.img on the SD card?
Full N.America 3.25 GB (3,490,906,112 bytes)Unlocked.
Just change file name to gmapsupp.img & copy to Garmin folder on your FAT 32 formatted SD card

Why no torrents?
Much easier. No sketchy upload sites.

Please post City Navigator North America NT newer than 2021.30 (thanks to Popeye). I would also be greatful if it was in 2 parts: East & West to keep the individual file sizes under 2GB so it will work with my Garmin Nuvi 350 which is restricted to SD cards smaller than 2GB. Thank you!

hi

when a new map goes out, how can you recover / get the ASR, IMG, JVC, SID, SQLite files ?

Do you have to download the pc installation package and recover them in it ?

Where to get them ?

If you have a device with Lifetime map updates, the files you list are placed on the device when you use Garmin Express .Recovering/backing up is a copying exercise. Their location can be hidden, so telling us what device you have will enable us to point you in the right direction.
The PC installation does not use those files.

Ok thks, i use my girlfriend nuvixxxx lmt to recover the map and other files, use an unlock tool here and push them on my garmin car navigation, sometimes i need the jcv files.

This one can be put in mtp mode and i see all the contents for grabbing.

Is there a guide on how to edit the map to be like the old lower 49 maps that used to be uploaded here? Thanks.

You would install Mapsource on a PC( has its own guide), download the gmap folder City Navigator North America NT 2021.30 and create your own map sets selecting what you need.
But here is the Lower 49

Thanks for the information but it seems the links to MapSource on this site are dead. I will keep a look out so I can do it for myself next time. Hopefully.

I downloaded the NA maps from the original post but the .img file in the archive doesn't have the correct map ID so my nav is throwing a fit about it.

Could someone help me by re-posting the .img for this map with the correct Map ID/label. And yes, I know there are newer maps available but I'm interested in this version.

Please start using the "Thumbs Up" button ,this helps us see where you are downloading from.
From your picture the map description seen looks like you downloaded a map created by MapSource and are produced Unlocked ,these lack information provided by the Garmin Express download.
Your post in the Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge thread shows you using JetMouse Keygen which means you need Original maps and NOT already Unlocked by Gimgun.
