Updating built in unit

I am trying to update an in-dash unit via a 32 MbSD card. I have down loaded TomTom home to my laptop. The instructions say to connect your unit via USB or, if using a card, inserting the card to tge card reader. I do that but it does not recognize the card and i cant continue. Is 32Mb too big?

And with any other SDHC 32GB card formatted NTFS or FATt32? ?
