TomTom truck maps for Australia

Hi guys. I live near Brisbane in Australia and I'm thinking about purchasing a second-hand TomTom Start 25 from someone in Sydney. Looking at compatibility charts and such through Navitotal and the other GPS sites, this device seems like it would be capable of handling a truck map. I work for a transport company so this device would be invaluable for avoiding low bridges, finding alternative routes etc.
My questions are:- Would this Start 25 be able to use a truck map? Is there a current - or close to current - Australia truck map? Would there be any real issues with attempting this? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks and talk soon.

Start25 is a nav3 device.
There are nav3 Australia maps 1170 or 1175 for car use, but no nav3 Australia Truck map.

A nav4 Australia Truck map 1170 could fit in a Start52.

I can help in nav2 or nav3, but not much in nav4.

Hi coltrane. Thanks for getting back to me on this. I've got my eye on a Start 52 - model 4AA53 with device code XR - 8GB internal storage with a SD card slot at the back - that would work, yes?
Also, truck navcore. Is there a suitable navcore still available for download on the forum? Any information on this would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks and talk soon.

Hi pe1agp. Thanks for an updated FTP link for the navcore, tools and such. I've been hunting around lately and have found a second-hand TomTom Go Professional 520 for sale. It seems to still have Europe maps installed. So my question is, is there a recent or semi-recent Australia map that can be installed onto this device? Any link to a map, basically? Or am I out of luck? Could you shed some light on the subject please. Many thanks.

To be honest, I have absolutely no idea.
That does not mean you can't experiment freely, provided you first make a backup of the device as it is now.
You already have the most interesting link, but you would also need to add a link to the previous map 1170 and the latest 1175.
