TT go 5200/6200 - map update/change

Postby naviboy » Thu Nov 05, 2026 7:37 pm

Travelling overseas next year and want to upgrade from my tt xl one.

Can the maps/navcore etc in the GO 5200/6200 be changed/uploaded etc as I could with my xl one.

I could use my phone with Gmaps, but most of the areas have no coverage as found on my last trip to use gmaps.

It's completely different to what you're used to...see here:

Thanks,

OK, Downloaded the Dummies and read.

I've not got a device as yet, just searching as whats available with the faster processor range than the One xl.

thanks again

OK,

Reading these notes apply to Nav3 devices. Read from google the Go 5200/6200 are Nav4.
Would the same instructions still apply to the Nav 4 go5200/6200

thanks

No, they are different again but we don't have a tutorial for NAV4 yet.

Personally, I bought a Go 520 on eBay for £22 that has free lifetime maps so I don't have the bother of manually updating.
It needed a new mount which I bought on Amazon for another £34 but it was still worth it and I've never had any problems with updating etc
