RHB US model with NA maps - now EU (other regions) possible

I was able to use EU maps on the RHB17 430N model (locked to NA maps only).

Garmin software version 7.09
Head Unit software version 52.00.01

Previously I was getting:

The map update provided is not compatible with your navigation system.

Still needs a little more digging into it but now the uploaded map CN Europe NTU 2024 works and unit navigates well.

Have to find our how to delete it from there now as once uploaded can't be removed. Found a way to delete uploaded map.

Right now I have CN Europe NTU 2024 as my gmapprom.img. JCV works fine too.

Still to find our if some Lang/Keyboard/Voice other than US possible.

Hi, would you be so kind and share the CN Europe NTU 2024 gmapprom.img? Or reveal how you made it?

How was you able to install as gmapprom.img? I was able to delete a whole bunch of files, but I still haven't been able to figure out how to install a gmapprom.

There is already gmapprom.img, you need to replace it - delete & upload new one.
RHB is also reading gmapprom1.img files

I already deleted all img files. How do I upload the new img files?

How did you deleted the IMG files?
Is Map -> Info shows no maps?

I deleted all the img files by modifying the update.txt within the gupdate.gcd

How did you do it? By connecting the hard drive to a computer or directly through the head unit? Did you use NTU or NT? So far I’ve only managed to add the map via gmapsupp.img, but without the ability to enter an address. It doesn’t want to replace the gmapprom.img file.

HDD has nothing to do with Garmin NAVI unit, all the maps are inside its Internal 8GB memory chip.

After upgrade maps (NTU) on rb5, my navi get boot loop. I try inject delete commands by xml file. I tred delete *img files and reupdate maps again. But without success.
The only way was update gmappro.img by very small size file.img. I download littlest garmin img file and chenge it name to gmappro.img. That was work.
Heppyed that my navi is redy for update i put new 2027.10 NTU maps but during instalation i see an error "The map update provided is not compatible....." gmapsupp.img was upgrade normaly.
Have you got any idea how to resolve thi issue or delete gmapprom.img from Garin partition??

I would need more details but think I can help you. You wrote RB5, are we talking about RHB or RB5, as those are totally different ones?
