Can VW Discover Media MIB1 Standard(MSTD) be updated to 2026

I have a Volkswagen Golf 7 with the following infotainment unit:

Part number: 5G0035846A
SW Train: MSTD_EU_VW_P5301
MU version: 0486
Hardware: 041
Current navigation database: ECE 2020/2021

Is the MIB1 system still supported with newer map databases, or are the latest maps only available for MIB2 units?
