Garmin Topo Australia & New Zealand V3 how do i install the unlocked img file to be able to import it to mapsource please thanks

use base camp instead to load up the img file much easier than extracting them as there are 200 odd files in that one img file...as i found out lol

Small world eh. do you use topo maps for out door stuff or bluechart for the ocean as well?

Yeah I use Topo for hunting, Which is why I want to be able to upload with Mapsource to download to GPS. Havent got bluchart yet but wouldnt mind it too

lol i have it i am in whakatane for a while before i head back out. if you want to bring over a 3 gig micro sd card over and i can load it up for you on to any hand held gps. i even have G2 vision maps that can be used on garmin g2 map fish finders and home base from garmin as well...txt me ya number to 02102479842 and i'll call btw whats ya name so i know who to ask 4 :)

What's your problem? Garmin maps are mostly very easy to handle.

...but if you pay the flight from Europe, I can come and help you :D

Well for a start what are you viewing on PC? if pc then download bluechart v10 thru torrent
and follow the nfo file to load it up. topo maps are a different story. i used
cgpsmapperFree and just renamed the img file to 12345678 and it opened up the mapsets
then i used the typ file from here for higher contrast and on from there. you do need not have bluechart to view topo you can use basecamp ( but the topo needs to be installed first) but i find bluechart easy cause it can do both and i switch between set's. i am in whakatane so can help a lot more thru txt
For CmapNT sd card map north island new zealand. if you want it here is the link not sure if it will work on other SD cards for other plotters but worth a try..

hi, thanks for your reply. basically i have no idea what to do or what to look for. car navigation eg igo software im fine and complete understand how to use that but im now looking to see if i can get topo and marine maps for my portable gps unit and to be honest not exactly sure what torrent is best or what to download so any advice or help would be much appreciated.
