It stays in a loop. Tried to reset it, no luck.

No.
Have a formatted sd card and the rider stucks at welcome screen.

I wonder why i cant format the rider2 , if its stuck at the welcome screen.

This screen (its a photo from google, but the tomtom text and logo are the same)

I cant get a bif file also. Cause it wont boot.

You can,t format the Rider 2 because it has no internal memory. Normally you have to put the navcore on the SD card.
SD card in the Rider, 15 sec reset, and power up the navcore till the anoucement no Maps found.
If that is not possible then it is time for something else.

And if possible what is your bootloader ?
Checking bootloader (the only reliable method)
Enter a device reset 15 sec.
Then turn on the device and hold the start button until you
get info screen. Which bootloader is there.

Hai Holy,

boot is de 5.5250.
I have updated the tomtom with HOME.
Got a few files on it.

Reset the device as you said.
When i start the device up, same start image as in my previous answer.

Only the strange thing is that I can see the bar going from blue to yellow at the bottom.
Then I can see that the screen is from dull to bright, but nothing is happening. Only the start screen is visible.

If the tomtom had no memory, what could be the reason that I have the start image on my screen?

Alvast bedankt

Dennis

The start image is been build in the eeprom (32MB Ram).

Try the next procedure

*) Recommended Navcore 9500 Rider (3 icons)_Dutch_UK_Frans.zip
[Please Register or Login to download file]

1) Unpack the* navcore (winrar ) and place folders and files on your SD Card.
--
2) Reset The Device and start it till the announcement "No map found" Or You cannot use this map on this device
--
Copie the chosen map to your SD Card) in his own folder.
If you open the map you see the loose files and probably a folder (brand).
Not a map in a map.
--
3) Copy "FastActivate.exe" to your SD Card)

Run "FastActivate.exe".
     Select 2 and Done
=================

We like to hear the results Good or Bad

Hai holy,
Done that

It solves the loop problem.
And it makes new challenges. Like when it starts and you get the option to connect head set and you press cancel the device freezes or reboot. Also this navcore gives the same problem on a rider as on a xl. When you press the <35> it goes on car mode.
And i cant go back to <71>.
It just freezes or reboot.

Which other nav can i use? The rider x50?

Please see the images for the other problem. (The picturea say in dutch: cant save the settings. Error file entry)
