Reporting Map Errors.

May I suggest reporting map errors directly to Tele Atlas as well as TomTom.

Very good. There doesn't seem to be an option to report a speed limit change.

Step 1 - Locate
Mark the beginning of the street, road or highway, that needs changing, with the Push Pin marker located at the bottom of the map Zoom in or out slider.
Step 2 - Describe
Select "Street or map feature", Add a street or map feature, Street. In the "Name box" identify the begining & end the area to be corrected. Use "Additional remarks" to describe the speed limit change.
Step 3 - Submit

Another option would be the online Map Share Reporter (MSR) tool: [Please Register or Login to download file] . On average, reports are accepted within a week. And once accepted, they will be implemented into a future map release usually in 6 to 12 months. According to TomTom, this online tool is the best way to submit map errors, and ensures the most direct path to the map maker guys. From my own experience, the MSR tool works quite well, and a lot of my reports have already been implemented into a TomTom map.

When there's no dedicated button for the type of error you want to report, you can always use the 'Other' category and use the comments box to explain the issue.

I think you will find that "Map Share Reporter" & "Map Insight" are basically the same. I know you can follow the correction progress of a sumitted change, as it goes thru the Tele Atlas Map Insight system. I don't know if MSR has a similar feature.

TT once told that they are slowly switching from the old Map Insight tool to the new online Map Share Reporter tool. But it seems that the Map Insight tool is still open. When submitting a report using the MSR tool, the initial status is 'Pending'. Usually within a few days to a week, the status is updated to 'Accepted' (or in rare occasions to 'Not accepted'). From that time, it usually takes about 6 to 12 months before implementation into a downloadable map. They're working on improving the feedback system, so that more detailed status levels can be given.

Pending
TomTom has received your report and is using both people and automated systems to evaluate the change.

Report accepted
TomTom has updated its map database to reflect your report. It may take some time for this change to appear on online maps or to become available in a map update for your navigation device.

Report not accepted
TomTom has been unable to make this correction to our map. This doesn’t necessarily mean that your report is wrong. We may need more data or we may need to adjust other parts of our map in order to accommodate the change. In this case we will add the area to a “to do” list of areas for further investigation, but are unable to fix it at this point.

There is not a correct thread. Please read Popeye's request in post 1 of All Navcore New Maps threads.

Filefactory won't let me download part 9 of the Western_Europe_915_5074 [1872MB], it keeps saying 'No free slots available'
Very strange as all other parts downloaded without a problem.
Anyone have another link to the same part 9 file?
