igo primo 9.6.2.209584

Postby l'ambulant » Fri Aug 29, 2014 10:10 pm

hi,
i give you a link to download this version of igo primo.
[Please Register or Login to download file]
it's available for 30 days
there is no map in the content/map folder. just choose those you want or prefer.
it works pretty good on my mio 405, & on my viamichelin X960.

for the michelin, & others 320_240 devices, you have to:
-create an insatllSD file at the root of the card
-put all the unzipped primo except the the branding.zip file, otherwise, you'll get errors.
-rename the primo.exe to installSD.exe
-empty but don't erase those folders:
1-backup
2-myviamichelin/mynotebooks
3-myviamichelin/mypois

enjoy it

Works good on my GoPal (except for TMC, but that is known problem for E4460 devices), but it starts in map screen instead of menu screen. I know I've seen it somewhere how to change that but I can't seem to find it anymore.. Someone has a hint??

Is there a minimum requirement for this? as I get some global config error.

Long time no see. Hope you're fine buddy. I'm not 100% sure, but there should be an icon at the bottom of the "menu" screen that should give you the opportunity to change the opening screen. Also, I think you could change in the sys.txt this [I think]:

extra_features=1

I have tried 3 times to download this. I give up :022:
The 1st time after 5 hours (at 50 kb/sec) I had downloaded 584 MB (Megabytes). However the download should be 782.84 MB in total, it was "completed". No need to tell the file was corrupt.
The 2nd day, the attempt stopped at 96 kb (kilobytes) and the 3rd today at 192 kb (kilobytes). Not the speed, but the total of bits downloaded. :(
And worse, both times, I only saw hours later :(
So I still have nothing ! :013:
For some reason, Uploaded disappoints me each time I try to d/l something, most of times I end up with nothing except corrupt files and it happens over and over again.
So please tell me what I am doing wrong. :022:
Or even better : make mirrors !! But not on uploaded.net please !!

Hi chas, well everything's fine here, but a strange thing occured.. I only use my gps to go from a to b now :-) , still read the forums though and know where to get the good stuff.
I have experimental features and extra settings in my sys.txt and there is an option skip navigation menu to check, but if I do that it doesn't even go to the menu when I hit the menu button in the map screen. (Btw. I'm using gjak skin but don't think that makes a difference).

As I recall, there was a sys.txt entry or maybe something in the save folder that you could delete or change - something anyway. I'll start a search because I KNOW I saw it someplace a few years ago. Keep reading here! BTW, I still think that you and xtyler92 are the best unlockers I ever knew. Just got a current cracked Total Commander if you're interested:

EDIT: Got it, I think.

When you go through the process above, you will be adding veasynavmapmenuactive="1" to your system.ini file, so if you ever want to go back to starting with the Navigation Menu, just change veasynavmapmenuactive="1" to veasynavmapmenuactive="0".

Nope. He doesn't seem to have anything to do with GPS sites anymore. I was in touch with him some time ago and I think he either lost interest or something got in the way.

Adding veasynavmapmenuactive="1" has the same effect as checking the option skip navigation menu in experimental/extra settings menu.
Have tried different things now, with and without save map/sys.txt and all has no effect.. Think it's in the data.zip which I don't want to explore to be honest ...
Think I'll just leave it this way....

So is this the very newest version for WinCE? Are they likely to do future updates?

I didn't, but cheers for letting me know. I think I'll update then. I wonder if they've fixed the bug with internet traffic. Unlikely admittedly and i haven't got a 3g sim to try, d'oh. Suppose I could try WiFi. Got the wifi card somewhere.
