Moved into other systems/other.

It'll be wince 5 as it's an older device, the X series devices can be troublesome though. iGO usually works, but may require the folder section set correctly in the SYS.txt

I was kind of presuming it would work just like my F430 from the SD card and as its the same resolution the sys text may be the same. I had another F430 where I managed to get igo8 on the device and run the maps, POI's etc from the SD. I may look into that more when it comes. Saying that am I right in thinking primo has mp3 playback option where 8 does not?

Yeah I noticed that today when trying to play through my car stereo. It does not play mp3 or CDR+? so I have another unit plugged in but that is quite limited in what I can do with selecting albums and songs. I am hoping the X430 has a stereo jack as it has a dedicated mp3 player built in, this F430 only has a mono socket. I have ordered a converter just in case. I don't mind Mono playback as it would only be used when in the car.

I found this old post and added the two lines of text and folder. Any live links to this Zozo silver gold skin as I would like to give it a bash. 480 x 272

Even if it's a stereo device, with a stereo output, it still plays in mono.

Yes but the sound will be in both channels unlike putting a stereo jack in a mono socket.

Yes, it will play through both channels simultaneously, but in mono.

Well the software installed was rubbish to look at so I scrubbed it. Got igo8 on with no maps (lack of space) I have changed the igo8.exe file to MobileNavigator.exe and started my sys.txt with app="MobileNavigator" however I get the message saying

failed to open file
ui_igo8\480_272\loading.bmp
ending application

I have changed the resolution on the sys text to 480_272 and the loading.bmp is the one I always use so cant understand this.

What about my shell.ini file. How should I start that? just now its \SDMMC\MobileNavigator\MobileNavigator.exe

Is the SDMMC my problem?

On some Binatone devices, just having \SDMMC\MobileNavigator\MobileNavigator.exe is enough, no shell.ini is needed.

Try without the loading.bmp as a test.

Gave up just now. Tried three different igo8's and all to large. Not sure what all I can delete. I have primo running on the SD just now but that is painfully slow. This could be down to being a micro card in an adapter as the X430 takes a standard SD.

Did you try iGO8 in the SD card? Earlier Binatone's struggle with Primo when it has more than basic content installed.
