I purchased a new GPS online from China. It functions well, however it is using metric measurements for speed, mileage, etc. How can I change to imperial? it see that I am in the US, but I cannot find any place to make the change. I also cannot seem to edit a profile I created?
Any help will be appreciated

What program are you talking about? Take a look in settings and possibly regional. Make the necessary changes there. Just delete the save folder.

These can definitely be changed. Most people change them when they first boot iGo. It's one of the options in the setup wizard for sure!!!

I forget what menu it's under but if you're using iGo Primo, this is definitely possibile to change.

i have a generic gps from china its a windows 6ce os. it booted fine one time and all the gps was in metric. now it will not open the gps at all.

I assume that the program is on a SD card. When you plug the device to your computer via a USB cable can you see the different files/folders? You should be able to. Try deleting the save folder or renaming it.

All the programing is waht came on the unit. the seller said it would contain us maps which it does. I ahve hooked to my computer and have opened the files. so delete or rename the save file associated with the primo software is that correct?

Yes. A new save folder with your options will automatically be created when you next start/exit the program.

What makes it to be truck compatible, is information for trucks, that is part of the maps, poi's etc files. Look for ".ftr" files in your "/content/map" folder. More files called "trucks poi' will be helpful as well (.poi).
The latest files we have for the USA can be found here (includes only ".ftr", no "truck poi"):

Does anyone else know where I can buy the latest us and canada maps all these 'free download' sites are just too dumb for me I just want maps. I dont wanna join any clubs or jump through hoops all day

Turn to the seller would be the easiest. AFAIK, iGO is not sold in the US/Canada.
