huntsman & team...many thanks indeed for this great piece of software!! absolutely no problems using it...

@huntsman

Unfortunately, the new 6.06 version does not work - Source IMG file not exist ...

...you must put the *.IMG in folder MAP_Locked!

...and take care that you have read&write permission in the folder with UnLock Map Directory.exe and that nothing is blocked by Antivirus or some other security Software.

@p!xeldealer

When I replace the executable file of 6.06 version for the same file from 6.05 version then unlock is successful!
Maybe the reason lies into specific locked IMG file? This file is known working.

P.S. As it turned out, this bug of the GUA_6.06 occurs only when GUA is located on a flash drive - it is for PC with OS WinXP_x86.
For the PC with OS Win7_x64 - even if GUA_6.06 is located on the desktop or in the root of hard drive.

As possible, I turned off the whole protection of my PC, but something is blocking still the work of GUA_6.06 ...

Previous version 6.05 of GUA works fine under these conditions!

GUA 6.06 - non working version (win7 x64)... Source IMG file not exist

I can't follow your problems. I use Win 7/64 too and Unlocker v6.0.6 works like the versions before absolutely without any problems. Take care that you have enough place - you need at least 3x as much as the img size. That's why an flash drive often is not usable.

Version 6.06 does not work on my PC with OS Win7_x64 even if GUA is located in the root of system hard drive.
This version doesn't work for tiny locked .img files with a huge free memory, too ... It is not the case.

It seems that something is blocking the work of GUA_6.06. Most likely, this is a Security Software of PC. But it is not always possible to turn off completely all the protective features of this software (for example, ESET Smart Security).

Besides, I am not alone, there are similar problems for many users from other forums ...

I repeat once again:
'Previous version 6.05 of GUA works fine under these conditions!'.

Anyway, in version history is written "20.02.2012 v6.0.6 + Tiny fix".

If someone has problems with this version, we recommend to use v6.0.5.

@Cnfhbr:
By the way, root of system hd is the mostly bad place for any kind of user files :D.

Thanks for the excellent advice. I'd have never guessed about it myself.

I have accented on the system hard drive when you talked about a possible lack of the free space on a flash drive.
Earlier I wrote that the GUA 6.06 does not work at other places, too. See the post #127.

Don't juggle with words! :D

I'm sorry that I can't tell you, what you want to hear and many thanks for your friendly words, because it's really motivating to do this job here :D.

Forgive my passionate language.

I hoped that author of GUA would be interested in why this his 'Tiny fix' caused dislike at the known Security Softwares, such as Agnitum Outpost Security Suite, ESET Smart Security, etc.

Sun Mar 04, 2012 7:37 pm

I'm sure he will check and fix this issue.
