Hello Ton,

it's very hard to find solution for every pna based on win ce 5.0 or 6.0 , without some modifications dependent of device, that's reason cause author of this cracked version garmin xt for win ce 4.2, 5.0 and 6.0 wrote "it should" it doesn't means that will run on all win ce pna devices..

Specially on mio moov devices is hard to run garmin xt for win ce.. It's dependent to missing diferent dlls files, you need to test diferent dlls files, and to check if that will help..

Tell me this, what did you do exactly try? What's error is reported? More details, if you expect help!?

You can try one of these garmin xt versions for mio devices - c310 and c250

[Please Register or Login to download file]

[Please Register or Login to download file]

and try this, if you have unlocked your device, and can access to win explorer, try through win explorer to find on your sd card QUE.exe file , located in garmin folder \Apps\WM\QUE.exe , and run it directly through win explorer, and post here what's happened?

Till now is been reported that Garmin XT win ce runs on the following devices without problems

Acer d140 with CE 4.2
Acer P630 PNA (CE5.0 Core)
Arrival A400 GPS
C310
C520
GONAV S600B(WinCE 4.2)
GPS E610 3.5 WinCE 5.0
Holux GPSmile 52+/53A WinCE 5.0
H610
mio268+
mio c310x (wince 4.2)
Mio C320 or C230/238 with Wince 5.0
MyGuide 3100
Navgo Sy885 Wince5.0
Navigon 2100 WinCE 5.0
NAVIGON 2110 MAX needed wininet.dll
Navsoon 4210 wince 4.2

and on some chinese pnas...

Sucro,
thanks, I will give those suggestions a shot.

My mio moov is unlocked with MioPocket Lite.
I run iGO and TomTom on it as well, they autodetect the gps receiver, so no problems here.

With Garmin it seems not possible to connect with the GPS receiver that is present.
With port splitter I can chose input between TMC_COM and SW_TMC COM1 with several options for baud rates.
I can choose output between COM0, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 and 9. I cannot select the other ports.
I tried all possible combinations, but cannot get connected tot the gps receiver.

With another version of port splitter I found out that com1 is related to TMC_com, com2 to GPS_com and com3 to SIRFNAVDRV. Selecting one of those options did however not result in a connection the ghe GPS receiver either.

I'm happy to try different dll-files if you can provide me with suggestions here.

Ton

You are welcome, for thanks please use button thanks ;)

tnx for nice explanation, and for your posting!

Try this to test

baud rate from 11 to 57600.

If this doesn't help

First try to find the right dlls to your Moov500 then try to play with these values, if the dlls not working, try editing registry with some tools for registry editing on win ce, like ceregeditor:

RegWriteDWord( "HKCU", "Software\JAL\Port Splitter", "Baud", 57600 ) <=<=<=
RegWriteDWord( "HKCU", "Software\JAL\Port Splitter", "Port", 2 ) <=<=<=

And try this

Select COM:2 (this is gps port for Moov 500 com port: 2) as input port. Select port COM:0 as output port, then start port splitting, for baudrate = 57 600, and press OK. You may select autostart for the next restart.
In Garmin.mscr erase all lines for PortSplitter.

"SirFNavDrv" at speed of 57 600, that's baudrate = 57 600 for Moov 500

try to change version of port splitter, download latest version for win ce devices.

Read my previous post, i wrote you link to thread where i added extra dlls and diferent dlls pack.

Sucro,
the .dll trick did no do it.
Your next suggestion can not be performed: there is no JAL subdir in HKCU - Software ?! There is however a VGPS-folder with in it a BeeLineGPS folder. In this folder there is a Serial Port Communications folder with in this a auto Reconnect, Baud (57600) and Port (2) file. Did you mean to create the JAL\Port Splitter folder and these files as well or should these folders be there anyway ?
Another thing that passed my mind: in iGo you can give in commands and directions in a sys.txt file, in other applications one can give those in by editing a .ini or system file.
Is is possible to add a command line in the garmin.mscr file, something like set gps=COM2, Baud=57600 (into the right format to get it work) ? Or is there a way to direct Garmin to COM2 in a system or ini file somewhere ?
It is about to drive me crazy I can not get it done !

No, it's related for installation jal spliter, and then you'll have registry...

I'm a busy these days, soon i'll give you some suggestions... Try this like i described you

Directly in port splitter do this

Select COM:2 (this is gps port for Moov 500 com port: 2) as input port. Select port COM:0 as output port, then start port splitting, for baudrate = 57 600, and press OK. You may select autostart for the next restart.
In Garmin.mscr erase all lines for PortSplitter.

And like another solution try this

1. Install Port Splitter. Download portsplitter_CE5_set and install in SD Card. It created a "JAL Port Splitter" folder.

2. In "JAL Port Splitter" folder copy the 2 files to the folder where is the mortscript

3. Open port splitter (double tap) and choose:
i) COM 2 (COM who GPS works with)
ii) Baud 57600 (Baudrate who GPS works with)
iii) Check Autostart
iv) Choose Input COM ( choose COM0)
v) "Tap" Add
vi) Select added COM
vii) "Tap" 2x in START. Means make START and STOP then. Must be 2 quick "taps" or else the port splitter window
disappears
viii) "Tap" EXIT.

With this a settings.dat file is created near the mortscript files
If you mistake in something just delete the settings file and do the step3 again.

4. Now edit Garmin.mscr and past the following code:

Code: Select all
Errorlevel("warn")

If(WndExists("Garmin Mobile XT"))
Show("Garmin Mobile XT")
Exit
EndIf

#Run Port Splitter if not exists
If(not ProcExists("Port Splitter.exe"))
Run(SystemPath("ScriptPath")\"Port Splitter.exe")
Sleep(500)
EndIf

#Copy previous stored settings to \Garmin
XCopy(SystemPath("ScriptPath")\"Settings\*.*", "\Garmin", TRUE)

#Run Garmin Mobile XT.
#This script will not go to the next command before que.exe completely shut down
RunWait(SystemPath("ScriptPath")\"..\Apps\WM\que.exe")

#Save new settings back to SD Card
XCopy("\Garmin\*.*", SystemPath("ScriptPath")\"Settings", TRUE)

#Stop Port Splitter before killing it
#If the port splitting are not stopped before killing the process,
#it will not work again even you run Port Splitter again without soft reset
If(WndExists("Port Splitter V1.31"))
#Stop button
SendCommand("Port Splitter V1.31", 1010)
Sleep(500)
#Exit button
SendCommand("Port Splitter V1.31", 2)
Sleep(500)
EndIf

#Kill Port Splitter process
If(ProcExists("Port Splitter.exe"))
Kill("Port Splitter.exe")
EndIf
I'm all what I'm not!

Thanks, just what I needed for my car GPS radio system, Chinese PNA/PND... Eonon E1025, WinCE5.0, 480x234.

It starts and runs. screen is fine and everything looks alright...

Howeverr, where to put the SW.UNL? I copied it to almost all directories on my SD but it is still locked. I see that running this also created a Garmin folder in the Eonon itself and I even copied it into that folder. I am sure I got the right Device ID etc.Is JetMouse 1.5 kg the right one for this version or is there another method? The folders and directory structure seem a bit different than on my phone running Mobile XT, so maybe I am doing something wrong here?

Thanks,

If you have the right code inside the sw.unl that copy that file into the folder "Garmin" on your SD card.
In case your folder has a different name change it to "Garmin" as the script and the EXE rely on that to work.

Garmin mobile XT on your phone isn't same app like this one for win ce devices, garmin mobile xt for your phone is original installation from garmin, this one is cracked - modified installation of garmin xt, originally created by karagiosis.

take attention when you create sw.unl file, open notepad, put inside generated number, and select from file menu - Save AS, for save as type , select ALL FILES, and for file name put sw.unl, on this way created sw.unl, copy-paste in folder Garmin on your SD Card.

If you don't see ID of SD CARD when you run garmin xt on your chinese pna device, put 0 for ID, and then generate key...

Hi,

All the files were downloaded and located in Garmin\Apps\WM

I copied the content of the folder WM directly into the root folder, Garmin, as you said. Makes sense of course... although I am a bit confused... the instructions above in post 1 clearly state "Just run Garmin\RunGMXT\Garmin.exe", and in post 4 a solution/test says to run "in garmin folder \Apps\WM\QUE.exe".

After copying the files to the root Garmin folder I executed QUE.exe there and again it starts up normally but locked. I do the usual use Garmin GPS and Skip procedure to get to the device ID and everything reacts and works fine so far. It just doesn't unlock after putting the generated code into sw.unl (without txt)... Today I will triple check the sw.unl file again and let you know the outcome. I know there are others looking for a solution for their Eonon E1025.

Thanks

It seems you have similar problems like I had when I started with Garmin ;)
I noticed that almost any XT version out there uses a slighly different folder structure and sometimes different scripts to start the program.
Inside the scripts you will find three main things :
1. something to start the Explroer and hide the taskbar - Explorer is killed after Garmin ended and taskbar comes back
2. something to start Garmin and sometimes an extra script to save the settings
3. the config for a port splitter

On some devices it is no problem to start the Que directly while on others you need the script to start the explorer and hide the taskbar.
For 2. I have to say that it is only for versions that are not properly ported to CE as Garmin will use the paths stored inside the Que.exe.
A portsplitter is not always needed but if you need it, it must be configured in the correct way.
Sometimes it helps to add/adjust some sleep commands in the script to give the hardware more time to start it all - 2500 is a good start to be safe.

One more thing I noticed far too late is that you need the correct Que.exe for your SD card and type of device :
If by default "SDMMC" is used in the EXE but your SD card is labeled "StorageCard" for example than Garmin might start but it will freeze or hang sooner or later and you can not safe and load the settings without a proper script.

I suggest you check the label of your SD card when it is in use in the GPS and compare it with the EXE inside the WM folder.
If your paths don't match than Garmin won't be able to find the .unl files ;)
And in case it is the release I had the path inside the EXE is set to "Storage" and can't be edited as easy as in other versions (maybe that is why they need the settings script).
Please post the label of your SD card and I might be able to find a working version.
In case your card is labeled "SDMMC" or "StorageCard" you could try this version in the meantime.

Hi,

The programs seems to be working fine except that it stays locked, of course I can't be 100% sure of that until I get success. I notice in the About page that it gives me next to Device ID a Card ID. So far I created the .unl code on Device ID. I am also wondering if the program needs a driver inside WinCE for using the .unl or if it can work from the card files alone? If so, maybe my WinCE is missing a driver?

Today I will try:
Change card to SDMMC.
Try different codes based on, Device ID combination XT and PC, Card ID combination XT and PC.
Try suggested version

Will keep everyone informed.

Thanks

You have to create key based on SD CARD, CARD ID, not on Device ID, and use Garmin XT, not Garmin PC - that's for Garmin Mobile PC!

Another thing, first check through win explorer, or some file explorer on your device, how your device see SD CARD, like Storage Card or SDMMC, and then make changes in .exe file!
