Hello Forum and users,

I have a novice user I manage to use "US & EU 2017.10" unlocked map on my SD card and I didn't update my firmware of the Garmin 3590 LMT since July 2017.

I cannot remember exactly what firmware was on it but yesterday (2 nights ago), I decided to do a Garmin Express update. I received an error showing up that the "Map is locked... Please visit... To update"... This error came up once and never came up again. And thus from that moment onwards, I could not read anymore SD maps.

I also have a Garmin DriveLux 50 to try reading the map. I was stupid, I updated it as well before checking if those US and EU map works. The error message also came up. So I don't know what to do.

The current device informations are:
- Garmin Nuvi 3590 LMT Firmware 8.30
- Garmin DriveLux 50 Firmware 4.10

I read something about patching here: software-f89/universal-firmware-patcher-for-protected-garmin-devices-t17987-60.html

But I am not sure how to proceed. If anyone is willing to give me a hand and guide me, I will appreciate a lot~!

I tried to use the Patcher provided. I copied it out of .System/ folder, and Patch it on the Desktop. Both GPS showed me an error.

I am getting a .error message. Any guys experienced this and have a clue?

Just download some img and copy/paste

Thank you for confirming the DriveLux 50 needs patches. But the 3590 LMT also stopped working after I did a software update on Garmin Express. I am looking for a patch for both devices currently.

The 3590 LMT stopped working also. Maybe Garmin locked both from reading unlocked maps? The SD card is definitely working as I can see kitties photo on the SD card in the "Gallery App" on the 3590 LMT.
