Sat Dec 19, 2015 5:17 am

Hi all

Looking for diMkaMegaduck skins 1136 and a 99 skin.

Searches online give reference, but the download sites are 404.

Does anyone have these please?

Cheers

I was able to get a different Dimka skin. Try it out. Do you know how to use it?

EDIT: I have Kikker 3.2 skin. Tell me if you want it.

Thanks, Chas

Yes, I do know how to use it thanks, and if you would be so kind to send the Kikker skin, I would be keen to try it out.

Do you have a preference?

Cheers

For me, it's Kikker 3.2 all the way. Not bloated and nice.

^^Completely agree with @chas521 here - Kikker skin is also my favorite for iGo 8. Also, I have modified Kikker 3.2 in two ways (for car 2DIN use):

1. Got rid of the battery icon (I use it in a car - no need to display an empty battery all of the time!).
2. I corrected an issue with 800x480 resolution where certain buttons where on top of each other - so you couldn't add any favorites, for example.
3. I thought there was one other modification, but can't remember it right now!

Let me know if anyone is interested in this modified version. It's really only useful for those using Kikker in a car with the 800x480 resolution.

Hi jtrosky

If you wouldn't mind, I would like to try your modified version.

@kiwinsn - did that modified version of the Kicker skin work Ok for you? I forgot to mention that some people had issues with it on certain versions of iGo 8. I suspect that it was an incompatibility with the Kicker 3.2 skin in general (not specific to the minor changes I made), but I can't confirm that. I never did do further testing. If I remember correctly, it works fine on the later versions of iGo 8.

I've used it successfully with 8.3.5-231128 and 8.3.5-258186 (the person that had an issue with it had an error during iGo startup - so you'd know right away if you had issues).

@jtrosky - I loaded the programme up but it wouldn't start for some reason.

Going to have a better look at it over the Christmas break, and see if I can figure out what's wrong.

Thanks for the follow up.

Do you mean that iGo itself wouldn't start-up at all? Did you get an error? Was it before or after you selected the Kikker skin? Just trying to understand if it used to work and suddenly quit working - and if so, was it related the installation of the Kikker skin at all... Also, what version of iGo8 are you running?

Kikker skin needs changes in sys.txt depending on the resolution. Did you apply them?
Also the save folder could contain some settings that interfere. Rename the save folder to save.old and do the settings again after start up.

It wouldn't boot at all, and just kept restarting.

Haven't had a chance to look further, but I do have older iGo 8 versions so will check those as well.

So you've never even had a chance to activate the Kikker skin then yet from withing iGo8 - is that correct? Obviously, until you activate it, it can't cause any issues.

I'm just not clear if you are saying that Kikker is causing your issues or if you have issues that prevent you from even trying to activate Kikker.
