nextgen 9.19 skin required please

Mon Sep 28, 2015 1:03 pm

Mine came with "the_skin_NextGen_by_pongo" installed in the UX dir. (I have now removed that one & replaced it with "the_skin" but I still have the same problem.

When I look at the screen the map is tiny and is slightly over the edge of the screen so parts of the menu can not be selected.

I have a wince 6 EONON unit and had primo 2.4 where the maps are large and viewable, however on this new system everything is micro small.

I am not sure what res it is or what I need, probably a 800x480 one but would be happy to be advised.

I just want to see the screen whilst driving and be able to select the menu buttons when needed.

thanks

Try doing a Google search for your device and see if the resolution is posted there. When you find it, make sure that you have the proper sys.txt entry for your device included.

This should be the correct entry:

[interface]
resolution_dir="800_480"
vga=0

[rawdisplay]
highres=0
screen_x=800
screen_y=480
class="landscape"

Don't forget to delete the save folder.

Hi

Thanks for reply, have looked around for one all I can find is some german ones and the pongo |I already have.

Just looked at mine and it says the following

[rawdisplay]
driver="moya"
dpi=120

Should I just change that to

[rawdisplay]
highres=0
screen_x=800
screen_y=480
class="landscape"

appreciate further help

Just try adding mine to yours and see what happens. Also create/add my interface entry.

Will try that

what does this bit mean?

"Also create/add my interface entry"

Also when adding should I do it like this:

[rawdisplay]
driver="moya"
dpi=120
highres=0
screen_x=800
screen_y=480
class="landscape"

OR

[rawdisplay]
driver="moya"
dpi=120

[rawdisplay]
highres=0
screen_x=800
screen_y=480
class="landscape"

I assume the first would be correct

sorry to act dumb

Just means that if [interface] is not in your sys.txt just create the necessary [interface] or if there is an entry just add my post entry.

Sorry to break into this thread.

If you are using version 543580, of NextGen, that is the version that i have and the screen display is as good as Primo 2.4. I also have the skin by pongo installed.

The only remaining problem that i have is with the TTS voices.

The voices during guidance are perfect but i cannot get them to announce the speedcams....????????

Hi thank you for reply

I can check but where is the number you quote as that does not sound like a version number

Under "about" I thought I saw 9.19 but will recheck.

Just asking, but are the files correctly named and in the correct content folder? Perhaps you should post your content\speedcam folder.

Hi chas521

This is the link to my "speedcam" folder.

It is a copy from my Primo 2.4 program, that works okay.
