Who hoo go it working and looking good, however. It will not switch when I put the phone landscape. Can anything be done or should I just suck it up? I was thinking a resolution problem but can find the setting in the sys.txt file

You can try this using your resolution. If it doesn't work, then you can always delete it.

[rawdisplay]
highres=0
screen_x=800
screen_y=480
class="landscape"

Don't forget to delete the save folder.

I can't answer about the save folder in the phone. Make sure you exit from the Android program correctly using the red circle with a line [I think it is] and not just return to the phone's menu or turn off the phone.

Not getting far with this. Still want switch to landscape. Funny as the android software does but the igo stays in its portrait position. I was reading on another forum that it mad be down to the datazip not being for my resolution so chopped that over but no joy again. I wont be beaten though. :)

Gave up on this. I could not live with the portrait mode. Downloaded quite a few My Ways and either got the same problem or a resolution problem so went back to navfree. I did notice navfree don't give all the maps for free now but I only want this for the UK as I don't leave my Sat Nav in the car and tend to forget it a lot. More so on days where I would need it.

Don't give up just yet! Try something like this using your resolution or even these numbers.

add this in sys.TXT:

[rawdisplay]
driver=engine
screen_xy="800_480:1280x670/720x1230"

The funny thing is with the one in your link if I change the sys.txt to my resolution I get the skin is not supported message. Swapped a few skins what also did nothing. Funny how the android software spins to landscape but the igo does not. I am waiting on a new SD card in the post so I will try again using your download and that sys addition later.
