Dear All,

In order to change anything in the PSU files, you need to understand the structure of the PSU files first.
and also the structure of the BMP files after extracting it out.
Rule No 1 --> The changed BMP dimension and file size must not be bigger than the original
Rule No 2 --> Must also in 8-bit 256 Colour
Rule No 3 --> You must understand the first 48 bytes of the BMP header that defines the BMP shadow/transparency , coordinates (placement) of the BMP in the screen and etc.

Hope this helps for starter

Hi adrian,

As I know you can use ultra edit to check that header not change. Just compare top hex number before edit and after edit you'll find it the header, make sure not change.
GIMP also good photo editor for it...and free....many tutorial how using GIMP...
Brother Pgoh101 have better understanding in modifying *.psu so we still wait he can make some tutorial on it, video tutorial maybe....

I understand that brother

PSU is one of the file that use in papago.Usually that file is located in Organic folder. This file contains BMP(picture)
when u extract that file using the PSU tool/software. Correct me if I am wrong.

Dear all,

For modifying the BMP or creating a new one you can use any editing program, even ms paint.
For me, i use photoshop to create a new one and xnview to do the editing.
For hex editor, i use HxD.

As mention in rule no 1, make sure to compare the original header with the modified one as they will change once you save the modified or new one.

Please find the attached file a brief description of the the PSU/BMP structure. Please understand it in order to have a sucessful modification.
