Try using taiwan map from papago website but can't get it to work on my wince 5.0 device. Show me illegal operation during startup which is same as x7. Dunno if it is incompatible with wince 5.0 or my pnd ram (64mb) is not enough. Anyway, happy with my papago x5se now. Good luck for other people trying.

Yup... you are right, all X8 require more memory ....(comparing with X5) ...If you want to try TW Software, you may try Gonav8 S5 or T5 as I notice that this software is very smooth and I believe it requires less memory.

Hi Montser GPS,

Software run very fast & smoothly with MFM Thai Map & Powermap Thai Map but with following errors:

1. Road/POI Search - No Data found hence no O.K/Enter button
2. POI Icon Not Display! (Can be solved by rename MapAniPOI_VGA or MapAniPOI_XL to MapAniPOI_HQ)
3. Landmark icons Not display! (Can be solved by rename MapAniPOI_VGA or MapAniPOI_XL to MapAniPOI_HQ)
4. Road name display OK
5. No CAR icons display due to No Data! (Solved by replaced the PAPAGO.dbp from Taiwan map but not sure will this effect the display of 3D bulding)

TQ!

H8 Soft will only read TW Map header first before they read other map files, so if you put not TW map but MFM (Malaysia) map files, H8 will not start and shutdown (H8 cannot find that header), you need TW header and replace MFM header in order H8 to read MFM map files. Location: H8\Maps\R51_SSC.hdr + Other R51 files
