Two things:

1. This is my first post on this forum and i would like to say hello to all.
2. I use nokia e72 and garmin xt on it. I used to transfer maps by mapsource. But as time goes on, obviously garmin too, so i'm kind of new with this image (copy/paste) transfering maps on devices. Can anybnody explain to me, if it's enough (for working this maps on device) just to combine the files (in one image) and transfer them do device?

cheers

which image you want to combine ?

im not sure garmin xt support sql file ... you can only use map image file
just copy/paste on your phone with right name
not use mapsource

It seems to be not. On garmin.com I can only find informations about download version for directly usage on device or SD card.

I don't know what happened with anonfiles, but most downloads from this hoster at the moment have crc-errors.

About 'Mapsource'/gmap-version is already written in the post above yours.

Conversion to classic Mapsource version with current GMapTool is possible with the known issues (reduced basemap, search index lost). If you have wrong or no colors, you did something wrong.

Better, you use the map image on any flash drive or virtual drive with BaseCamp for trip planning on PC.

It seems to be so.
If there is a DVD/gmap version, wouldn't it have to be for sale [Please Register or Login to download file] ?
But there is only Download or µSD!

I've renamed the map and uploaded on my garmin dakota 20 but it doesn't work. The device doesn't recognize the map.:apologetic:

Why and how did you renamed the map? Where did you copy it?

Why don't use the map image as gmapsupp.img in folder Garmin and all would be fine?
