US Trip Florida - Need a map with metacodes TT ONE 3rd

soon time for a trip, need a working map Us South Atlantic ( hoping it contains atleast FLorida) orignally using Scandinavia - hoping the unit isn't regionlocked.

have tried several maps, but there isn't any metacodes for them.
also tried the "fix your custom" code, didn't work - but it says DCT ok in result.

However, if anyone can point me towards the right direction / download ...highly appreciated :023:

Your problem will be available space as you've only got 512MB to play with so before you proceed with the following, make a full backup of the device in case it doesn't all fit.

There's no such thing as a region lock on a TT

Holyhead normally deals with these but I think he's on holiday at the moment so I've modified one of his excellent posts to suit you:

1) Reset The Device (minimal 15 sec) and start it till the announcement "No map found"

If you open the map you see the individual files and probably a folder (brand).
Not a map in a map.

4) Download FastActivate
Extract FastActivate.exe to your TomTom device root (internal or SD Card).
Run FastActivate.exe from that location.
Select option 2 & wait for activation successful message

as said, the lack of space is the :013:

the only maps - as I'm looking on older versions with valid meta- are the truckmaps aswell ( 3 files )

looks like it gonna be a GPS rental when arriving ( $150) as the rentalcars didn't have any as standard, don't wanna drive at night without it going to the hotel :usa:

but NC is updated and I'll download my local map and check if it makes any difference compared to the original NC.

Truck maps are definitely too big to be of any use to you so I'd forget them

TomTom maps are getting larger with each release due to the increasing road networks so the problem with space will always remain the same.
I'd recommend buying a used TomTom Go x40 or x50 from eBay or something...it'd be a lot cheaper than spending $150

I have a newer one, but this small One 3rd was perfect for pocket and if it would get lost it wouldn't be a big deal ..anyway the local map worked perfectly with newer NC :023:
