hi all im trying to update my old tom tom one new edition,heres the error i get when i turn on tom tom it says no maps.

so my route was fresh wipe. turn on to get the files needed. then place fast activate in the root. then run this map to install from desktop to tomtom , but when i check device info in fast activate it says incomplete maps? what am i missing??

Maps are navcore specific - not device specific

Look at the compatibility chart at the top of this page to find a map that is compatible with the navcore (or operating system if you like) that you have installed on your device

Yes, simple when you know how

Look in your voices directory on your device and delete any .DCT files you find...then try again

What navcore & map combo did you end up installing?

well because i only have the original sd card at 244mb i updated with tt home, which gives me 7.903. then loaded up United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_955_6801 but im going to buy 2gb sd card and update navcore and load up 6803 , will the my tomtom one new edition be able to use alg?

1. OK
2. Both 6801 & 6803 are compatible with your 7.903 navcore. Neither of them has ALG. 6803 doesn't have a posted meta code & is not usable.

ahh just seen that looks like im going to need 6805 when the meta is out, or drop back to 6747

6805 requires navcore 9.0XX or higher.
6747 requires navcore 8.2XX or higher
