Reporting Map Errors

Re: Reporting Map Errors

Post Number:#76 » Postby frosty4peter » Fri Jul 15, 2016 11:25 am

I would like to know if all maps posted here are coming without lane-guidance (pictures of lanes when you have to change lanes on the highway)? I downloaded several maps and they all have the same issue. Not that it's a big deal, but specially when you are driving on german highways it can be very handy to have lane-guidance
I can imagine that it's done to minimize the size of maps?
Does anyone know?
Thanks.

No more then enough maps have Lane guidance. And have you switch the lane guidance on in your TomTom

Yes I switched and tried also a reset and after that new patching etc.
But it didn't help...

Oh and by the way: the navcore is the original navcore that came with TomTom home.
I also used the latest FastActivate in the root of the device (TomTom Go950 Live).

Okay, tried the latest map (Western Europe 1GB 970 7490)
Used the same procedure.
Works fine!
I don't know what went wrong with the previous map 1Gb 965 7280 Western Europe.

Problem is solved for me, I have a working latest map! :040:

I cannot get 1Gb 965 7280 Western Europe working
The generated meta.dct seems correct, but TomTom says no map found.

I have TT installed on a SD card in a PDA.
Deleted the map file from the older map, copied the newer file with generated .dct in the PDA.
It worked that way until 950 map.
Anyone else with problems with the 965 map?

2. If it works with the older version I expect that the navcore is correctly patched...

1. Yes, It depends on what navcore you have & what map you are trying to use. There are 6 965 maps that a PDA CAN use and 8 that it CAN'T use.
2. If you determine that you have navcore/map compatibility, I would run F/A.exe Option 3 just to be sure that it is patched.
