Hello I have a big problem with my parent's tomtom XL. The version is:

I want to charge a new map but when I download Europe South 990 8306 with Automatic Installer & Patcher and I execute it, the program crash. I suppose it is because i haven't enough memory

How I can do?

Your problem is that the map you've downloaded is not compatible with the navcore currently installed on your device

The easier option for you would be to download Europe_South 990.8365 which is compatible with your current navcore

No, that map does not have a meta released so it won't activate successfully.

The meta codes for the maps that can be activated are listed in this thread

Just download the standard version of Europe_South 990.8365 (not the auto version) and post back here when you've got it.

I've got it

Ok,

1. Extract that map and then move it to your TomTom drive
2. Also put FastActivate.exe onto the TomTom drive
3. Run FastActivate from there and select options 2 & 3 (wait for sucessful messages)
4. Disconnect from the PC and reboot the TomTom
5. All done

Impossible to copy this map... insuffisiant space available 155Mo 155 additional requirements to copy this folders...
If i try to extract directly in the tomtom, cline.dat crassh the extraction

Sorry, I should've checked first but that map is 1.0GB in size so it's too big to fit...and your TT doesn't have an SD card slot either

We need to find a smaller map

Sorry, I've spent some time on this & I can't find a map that covers all of those countries/has a meta code released/ & is small enough to fit on the XL

We do have maps that will do the job but they're all too big...your parents may have to get another TT that has an SD card slot
