Hi, I installed the map for tom tom Europe West 950.6548 but it doesn't work.
When I try to patch it with Fastactivate it appears this message: incomplete map : Europe_West-100396.meta = .dct ERROR
I saw the list of meta codes and it's not present the meta code for this map, so I searched and I found it and it's this one:

1B A8 5C 76 99 6A 42 02 69 17 02 9A F8 A2 21 D8 Western_Europe-100396.meta ; Western_Europe 950_6548

The reason my map it doesn't works is that I miss the meta code or I have to check fot something else?
If it's the missing meta code, that I found, how I may use it to activate the map?

(it's not my first time, all other maps in the past worked immediately).
I followed the instructions I read on the site to install a map, I followed the problems solutions, I reinstalled the new map, I restarted the device after or before installing the new map, I have always the same problem.
In the map directory I have no files with the extension .dct before of after I used fastactivate.

Western_Europe 950_6548 meta code is in the June 27 Integrated meta text. Did you run FastActivate Option 1 to update the meta.txt?

Yes, when I opened fastactivate I updated the meta code and also fastactivate, I tried also to reinstall the map several times, I restarted the tom tom, but always I have this message.
In the instructions on the site I read about the .dct file that after a bad installation may have to be erased first to try a second installation, but in the map folder, after the installation, i didn't found a file with this extension.
All times I erased the map before to reinstall it, it seems that the map is missing a file.
Now I started to download an other map, Europe South 950.6548, that it's also right for me, I live in Italy, so it's right for me as the other one.
I'll see if this new map will work or not.
If it will be right the problem it's in the other map that have some files missing, if not and I'll found the same problem I'll have to check for the reason.
I also tried to reinstall the previous map that was Europe South 940.5963 and it works immediately withouth any trouble, so I think that the installation procedure I used it was right.

Put FastActivate.exe & a copy of your ttgo.bif file in the map folder. Run Option 1 to update the meta.txt, then Option 2 to patch the map. Check the map folder for the .meta.dct file.

Hi, I've done something different.
The map west europe wasn't the right one for me, so I installed europe south.
So, doing the same procedure I've done for the map west europe 950.6548, I installed the map europe south 950.6548, but this time it was working immediately without any problem.
May be something in the last procedure wasn't right?
May be something in the download of the files went wrong and some files was missing?
May be, but in any case I suggest to control the map west europe 950.6548 if it's right or some files are missing or corrupted.
The log file that I found after using fastactivate was: incomplete map : Europe_West-100396.meta = .dct ERROR

Problem solved!! It was user error. You were trying to patch the Europe West 950.6548 map with the Western_Europe 950_6548 meta code. They are 2 different maps with different meta codes.
