Then you are doing something wrong. I just tried it and it is the right map. You can,t use that map because there is no meta available.

Read carefully and try to understand.

Thank you for your reply.

Yes, the one that has meta available is Brazil 980_7897, not 980.7901.

The newest map of Brazil I could find with meta available is 965.7252 however FastActivate says the map is incomplete and shows dct error. Is the meta code wrong? Can you help me to find the newest map of Brazil available for Navicore 8.06?

For navcore 8.06x there is nothing available or it is very old.
You can find it out yourself by looking in the old map archive
maps-v9xx-f179/old-map-archive-t7847.html

Brazil 965.7252 can,t be used because there is no meta available.
Way not change the navcore 8.06x
Then you can use the latest Brazil 980_7897

So wich device you have and do you have an SD slot
[Please Register or Login to download file]
2 characters of your serial number, not the modelno

I appreciate your support.

Make a Backup
Delete the content of the one

* Aanbevolen 9.510 DSA 32MB ram.
Download unpack and place files and folders on the one
[Please Register or Login to download file]
--
1) Reset The Device (minimal 15 sec) and start it till the announcement "No map found"
--
2) Download Brazil 980_7897
noref.php?url=http://relink.to/f/6e56e641bb6474674f8e3b1d938bff
--
3) Unpack and copie the chosen map to your one in his own folder.
If you open the map you see the individual files and probably a folder (brand).
Not a map in a map.
--
4) Copy "FastActivate.exe" to your TomTom device root (internal or SD Card).
noref.php?url=http://linkcrypt.ws/dir/m24dq269u7183k4
Run "FastActivate.exe".
  Select 2 and Done
=================

Like to hear the result Good or Bad

Hi, it worked perfectly, thank you for the instruction. Just felt uneasy with white menu background, seems that a gif or bmp is missing, or is it ok?

I am concerned also with the available memory, maps that I owe might not fit with this Navcore.

Anyway it works with map of Brazil, thank you so much.

It is oke that is the way it is been modified. From origin this navcore is for newer devices
Compared to the nc 8.06x you have extra features Alg(advanced lane guidance) + IQ routes(Intelligence routes)

I am concerned also with the available memory, maps that I owe might not fit with this Navcore.

That is a problem but with the newest map of Brazil this is the only option.
You can delete the cspeech_BRA.dat file (25NB) from the map.
And with the NC 9.510 there is more choice of maps.

Anyway it works with map of Brazil, thank you so much.

My pleasure

Hi if I could get some advice I would be very (very) grateful. I have gotten myself in a spin trying various different methods unsuccessfully (wormhole of failure). Not entirely sure what carm1nat version but it says
  • app 9.844...
    OS 628172
    boot 55.7716

I believe the version dictates certain options.

I have carm1nat with very old uk + roi on 2gb sd (I have an SD backup done). Form me to update what else do I need to do in addition to the following:
  • download United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_980_7971 (rar not exe, meta exists)
copy extracted folder to sd (delete older map folder)
    copy fastactivate to sd root
copy ttgo.bif that that contains my device id etc
    fastactivate download meta
    fastactivate activate map

I have been trying many ways and trial and error which is resulting in much error and feelings of inadequacy :(

Only one answer. You really don,t now what you are doing but with navcore 9.844 you can,t update. You can only buy a new map.

Hi All. I have a TT One IQ with Navcore 9430 and have been successfully updating the maps, etc for a good while now. I have downloaded UK 980_7898 and the Meta data which I have cut-n-pasted into the META file - all as normal. I am using the latest version of FastActivate which looks like it also has the MetaData for this map included. I believe that this should all be compatible?

When I run FastActivate it tells me that the map is incomplete. Does this mean what it says - there is something missing, or that I have missed out a step this time? Help gratefully received :-)

Try an other small map i.e bnl.980.7991 and look if you got the same error (incomplete).
I don,t understand why to past the meta data. The meta data is already integrated in FastAktivate.
