Hello All,
I have a trusty TT One 3rd edition USA map and my wife has the same model with Europe map. So since we needed two European maps, I deleted the USA on mine and copied and pasted Europe afterwards. Now I have "cannot use this map on this devicea'. I tried looking through relevant posts here and even downloaded the latest FastActivate, but when I try to open the file an error message appears that there is no file associated with opening this.
Any help is appreciated, since I do like my simple TT.

A patched map will only function on the device that it was patched for. It must be re-patched, if you move it to another device. Run FastActivate options 2 & 3.

tendriver, thanks for the amazingly fast response. I unziped FA and patched 2 and 3, but still have the same error: cannot use...
I used snipping tool and Tinypic to upload FA results and hope you can see the 2 images.

Which Western Europe map are you having the problem with?

If you are referring to Western_Europe_1GB v960.7075, it is usable. Put FastActivate.exe & a copy of your device's ttgo.bif file in the map folder & run option 2.

Sorry, but still doesn't work and FA shows current map version as 0.0 and current map as "blank", so I'm not sure what version the map is after looking at the files. Should I just delete this map and download a fresh one from navitotal, and what version would I use? I'n not sure since there are many different numbers.

1. Open the new map folder and look for a .meta.dct file, to confirm that the map has been patched. If no .meta.dct file, put FastActivate.exe & a copy of your device's ttgo.bif file in the map folder & run option 1 to update the meta.txt file, then option 2 to patch the new map. If you now have a .meta.dct file, disconnect and reboot.

Yes to both: the meta.dct is from 1999 and 1 KB, and the meta is from 2008 and 316KB.

I don't seem to have sound now when TT opens; checked sound file and it's empty.

You are aware that v725 is a very old map which you'd be wise to substitute for a new v960?

The V725 works well on the original TT, but if it impossible to repair on mine, I will upgrade. I have a 950 with an automatic installer and patcher and just waiting for the word to install it. If I install the map, do I just delete the old map folder and leave the navcor?
