I advise nothing, because you tell us nothing.
It could be a corrupt file. Corrupt by use or already corrupt on downloading. The file could be a language file or a map. Is destination point in the same country as the starting point? Or happens the fatal error on selecting "choose destination"? Or .... I can only guess.
Is this a complete new installation of the program or just new maps? Did it happen before with the old maps? What is the fatal error?

Fatal Error appear when you input a street name. You can select country, city name, but when you write a street name and select a couple seconds after this device showing you a Fatal Error or just reset the device. I can't even read that error, because device LCD display are making white and then restart. That happen on the different devices. I didn't have that issue with previous relase of HERE Q3.2016, Q1.2016.

The installation of iGo Primo program are fresh, i didn't have that issue with this version of iGo Primo with previous maps relase.

To eliminate the program or language file, when you change back to 2016q3 map, does it happen again?

If not, it must be a bad 2016Q4 file. Delete all files and add one by one testing after each new adding a map, then add the other files one by one untill you find the culprit. Download again a new map for your country in case that is the bad one.
Anyway, it can be any file in the 2016Q4 set, even non map files like fsp or fda or .... Rumours say it's caused by .fsp files, extendedPOI files, no one seems certain which one.

What country are you in?

As a workaround, this torrent file seems to be the seeder of not a single corrupt file

Another issue: do not install .fds. These files are useless for most users. .fds is only supported in Igo 9.15 and above , in particular Becker, Falk, Nextgen (and analogues). To activate the content one needs a special license that may appear for free (or not?) to owners of Becker devices. Most likely you have to buy it.
