TomTom Europe Fuel Prices (Lost our donor. No more updates)

This thread will be updated as updates are available.
These are TomTom's Fuel Prices for Europe (Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany and United Kingdom).
Works on TomTom devices with Navcore 8.2 or higher.
Method 1. If you have several vehicles that use different types/grades of fuel.
A DOS script FuelType.cmd has been added to the rar file. This allows you to select your fuel type from within the map directory, after you have created the dct file. Download the posted .rar file. Unzip & copy ALL 13 files to your map folder. Download FastActivate to your root or map folder and run the .exe to create a .dct file. If you put FastActivate in the map folder, you must also put a copy of the ttgo.bif in the map folder. Left click FuelType.cmd & follow the instructions. Done.
Method 2. If you only use 1 type/grade of fuel in your vehicle/vehicles.
Select the file for your choice of fuel. Example Unleaded = FuelStationsEU.6.fpf. Rename it to FuelStationsEU.fpf. Copy FuelStationsEU.fpf, fuelprice.png, FuelStationsEU.bmp, FuelStationsEU.ov2 & FuelStationsEUOv2.ver to your map folder. Download FastActivate to your root or map folder and run the .exe to create a .dct file. If you put FastActivate in the map folder, you must also put a copy of the ttgo.bif in the map folder. Done!
NOTE: You only need to patch the fuels once, updates do not require patching.

  • 1 - Diesel
  • 6 - Unleaded
  • 7 - Super unleaded
  • 8 - LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas)
  • 10 - Red diesel
  • 11 - Ultimate diesel
  • 12 - High power diesel
  • 13 - LRP (Lead Replacement Petrol)
Activate with FastActivate

thanks

Because the prices are constantly changing at the Fuel Stations. They get updated when the donor emails an update to us, as stated in post 1 of this thread.

The ov.2 is the Fuel Station POI file. The .fpf file contains the fuel prices for those stations.

sorry i dont understand how the work ...Do they show the price as you drive or do you have to programe it some how ..TT one vr3 Boot 5.5001 navcore 8.410 maps 855.2884

You can either plan it long a route, or just search in the zone you are the best price near you or the better price along the route you are driving.
To do so, you must select the TT services and tap on Fuel Prices. ;)

If you select one point, TT will ask you if the route must include that point, and if yes, you'll see the 1 green symbol on the map detail.

should this works on pda also?i cannot activate fuelprice and i see not at poi.

Mon Oct 04, 2010 9:17 pm

don't see TT services any where on main menu

Sorry ... don't know if they work on PDA I Think NO... Plus .. it depends by the Navcore you use ... It must be upper 8.3xxx I think ....:7:
Taz .. in order to see if you have this option, you must go in the TT services where you have Meteo and Autovelox or Google Search functions.
If you have Fuel Prices function it will be there ;)
