TomTom Go 550 Live installing map on SD card help!

Hi.
I have a TomTom go 550 Live. With 1gb internal memory and what to add an additional map. Specificaly truck maps and navcore.

I have now got to the point were if I install navcore directly to sd with maps tomtom can't see the navcore and wont boot.

Install navcore to internal storage with map on sd it boots but can't find map. Using tomtom home it can see the navcore installed on internal memory and maps on sd.

Dose any one know of a fix or come across this problem in the past.

Please help I spent all day yesterday trying to get it to work.

Why a new topic ? But try the next. Only Trucknavcore on SD card. SD card in the 550 and a reset. Hold the On/Off button down till you hear the drumsound, Release the On.Off button and it start. Whitch message do you get ?

Installed Just Navcore to SD noting else and noting in the internal memory, get a flashing hd and SD icon's

If you start op with navcore on the SD Card it must be working.
The only thing I can think about is the SD card is broken. Try a other SD Card.

hopefully moving forward Installed trucknavcore onto internal memory along with original UK map. device starts and works.
installed truck map on SD card and can select it from switch maps.
But then get error "Problem with map. you cannot use this map on this device: Europe_Truck_100677"

Any Ideas

i have looked on TT home and it says that truck map cannot be used on this device as it needs to be activated first, which makes sense as i have not used fastactivate this time.

Is there any way to active map with the above installation

On the SD card

1) Biffile (ttgo.bif) copy it from internal to SD card.
2) The Truckmap(s).
3) Copy "FastActivate.exe" to SD-Card in the root.
4) Run "FastActivate.exe" on SD Card.
      Select 2.

Finally success.
1. Backup Internal /SD Memory
2.Delete internal /SD Memory
3 Copy Truck Navicore to Internal Memory
4.Copy Original Maps from Backup to Internal Memory
5.Boot TomTom to obtain "ttgo.bif"
6.Copy Truck Map to SD card
7.Copy "ttgo.bif" & "ttsystem.bif" to SD card
8 Copy "FastActivate.exe" to SD Card
9.Run "FastActivate.exe" Options 2,3
10.Copy "ttgo.bif" & "ttsystem.bif" from SD back to Internal Storage
11.Boot TomTom
12.Remove SD card and reinstall.

Now i can select truck map from maps
