hi, i have a tomtom XL with navcore 9540.2 and iberia map, and when i put a longer route like 150kms, and it recalculates a route, it keeps crashing, a friend of mine told me that it could be the rom memory, it doesnt have a sd slot, its the 1gb version.

Exactly which Iberia map do you have installed...is it a fully featured map?

I suspect the reason will be that your trying to run a fully featured map on a limited 32MB RAM device and it's running out of memory so reboots.

The solution is to either use a limited featured map (without ALG etc)....or install a specially modified navcore that has an inbuilt 'swap' file that you can download from here

im using Iberia_975_7748, one thing that i notice is if is a small route it goes great, it longer like 150kms, it freezes at recalculating and reboots, what map should i look for in your oppinion?

im using the navore you mentioned, its faster recalculating. Download : NC 9.510installer1.1.exe, so nest step should look for another map, a smaller one?

Actually a 975.7748 is a limited features map so you shouldn't have had any problems in the first place...do you have a lot of POI's enabled?

Anyway, if you've installed the navcore for the 32MB devices, you should be good to go now with no more rebooting?

i hope soo, last night i had a 53kms trip with no problems at all, but really dont know if the problem s really the internal mem of the gps. but only recalculating is the problem??? is really strange

the problem persist, damm, im thinking on putting the v8 navcore just to see if it goes away.

installed the one from tomtom home, patched it to get the iberia map working, and the problem disapear.
