One V3 7903: How to update/find the right and latest navcore

Postby Mydriaze » Sun Feb 26, 2017 4:56 pm

Hello everyone,
I'm a noob, a bit lost in this forum. I got my father's GPS, a TomTom One New Edition. I'm not able to see the navcore cause i can't boot it up, the offical SDCard seems corrupted.
So, I've downloaded TTcurrentconfig:

TTGO.BIF:
DeviceName=TomTom ONE
DeviceVersionHW=ONE (v3)
BootLoaderVersion=50500
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=7903
ApplicationVersion=9183
TTGO.BAK:
Not Found...
TTGO.ORI:
Not Found...
TTNAVIGATOR.BIF:
Not Found...

So, my TomTom One is a V3 apparently, my navcore is 7903.

1.What should I do now? Update to the latest Navcore? How to know which one is compatible?
2.Once my Navcore is the latest, I just have to put a map on my SD Card, alright?

Thanks for your help, and don't forget i'm not an english native speaker, so pardon my mistakes.

Have a nice day guys. :)

You can follow Holyheads instructions on this page...the only difference will is you'll be wanting a different map.

Pay attention to his instructions on updating the bootloader as it will allow the use of bigger SD cards

Thanks for your answer. Before to jump into the tutorial, I did something.
I downloaded Fastactivate, and updated it.
I downloaded France_Zone_1_985_8211 ( without Automatic Installer & Patcher), and tried to patch it, but I have a ".dct error".
I've check in Integrated_meta.txt and update meta file, I can't find any meta code for 985_8211. That's where i'm lost. Should I stay with 7.903 or update to 9.510 in order to use the latest map version?

I'm still a bit confuse...

There's no meta released for France_Zone_1_985_8211 yet so that map is of no use.

If you read this tutorial, a lot of your questions will be answered.

So, where have you got to...ii looks like your device is up & running now?

If so:
1. what navcore have you installed?
2. how much available space do you have left?
3. which map are you wanting...France?

Thanks for your help.

I've read the the link you gave me. I still have some issue.

-My SD card is 512mb, not enough for 9.510 navcore + map. So I decided to use a 16 go SD card instead.
-I installed 9.510 on my SD card through the Universal navcore installer. Everyfile and folder are at root.
-I installed the appropriate maps in a specific folder, at the root of my SD card. I put fastactivate at the root too.
When I start my tomtom one, clearly the card is not recognize and it ask me to remove my SD card.

i'm pretty sure i'm close to succeed, but there's still something i don't get it.

1. what navcore have you installed?

The only one available for my 32mb devices: 9.510 through the universal navcore installer. I'm not 100% sure i installed it to be honest. But evrything seems to be on my SD card.

2. how much available space do you have left?

512mb is too small. I'm trying right now with a 16go.

3. which map are you wanting...France?

France, full version. The one i've downloaded is the France_985_8155 cause there's a meta code for this.

Sounds like you didn't properly read either the link I gave you.....or what I said back at post #2

You keep stumbling at step 2 when you haven't successfully completed step 1 yet.

Remove & put your 16GB card to the side for the moment and put the original SD card back in....then read posts #3 & #4 here

Ok, I read it again, and succeed. But I have a error message concerning the voices. They are not installed.

Ok, good...now for the voices.

I've uploaded all of the standard language TomTom voices for you [Please Register or Login to download file]

Just extract the archive to the root of your device and you'll be good to go
