hi all I have a tomtom xl n14644 with v8.833 navcore when I connect to tom tom home I get a warning about its age and it say I cannot update maps or buy maps is there anything I can do to enable me to upgrade it

Yes, download United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland 980.7971 from one of the links here and activate it as usual with FastActivate

Yes, you can try the NC 9.510 installer for 32MB devices here....just remember to backup your original setup first.

If successful you can download the fully featured map United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland 980.7895 which will give you ALG etc...see here

hi thanks again I downloaded the navcore extracted it then over wrote the one I had I fast activated it rebooted tomtom and it froze on screen what did I do wrong

First try a reset to see if that fixes it, if not start again deleting everything apart from ttgo.bif, then install the NC, map etc
