Trying to update in car system

Tue Jan 10, 2017 6:28 pm

hi all,
I have recently purchased a second hand car which has a navigation system which has been added. I want to update the software. When I look at the memory stick there is a directory called IGO and then a subdirectory EUROPA and then a directory called PRIMO. There are a number of sub directories including one called TTS_nua_v5.

Any idea what this is and how I can upgrade it???

Thanks in advance

Any idea? Yes, you are posting in the IGO section, it must be IGO. Possibly even a Primo as a folder is called Primo.
Which one? Make your choice:
here for WinCE: program-data-zip-branding-zip-license-f83/list-known-igo-amigo-and-primo-wince-based-releases-t913.html
or here for Android: android-apps-f172/list-primo-for-android-t15772.html

I don't want to be rude, but you surely understand you are vague and we are lacking a crystal ball.
In short, we need more information.
Can you start up the program? Yes? Then go to menu, about and see what build it is. Click on more and see what maps etc are present. Are you in Europe?
And it would help to see more about the file structure, what is inside those 2 folders.

Thanks for such a quick response. Unfortunately I can't use the system as the car is in Spain and I'm in the UK - I can definately look when I'm there next. In the mean time, here's the file structure. I think the actual Unit is made by IHNavi.Image

The program is clearly WinCE, dated January 2011 but the date itself doesn't match any of nabi's list.
Branding.zip is August 2010, Data.zip February 25, 2011, definitively a build that is matched together on april 17, 2015, thus cracked software.
Which news is good.

On the downside, we know nothing about the device, nor if this Primo actually does work on the device.

I would suggest to back up all, next replace the contents with a 9.6.13.405512 (which filesupload100 very recently posted) and put newer content (maps/POI/...) in the content folder. For a good result use the "original" sys.txt.

You just need to find out how to alter the executable in the head unit, then you can have all kinds of fun ;)

I'm sorry to upset you, buddy, but you didn't focus on the right line. The exe file is the 3rd from the bottom on the list, and dated 09-Feb-11.
It can be this one from nabi's list: "9.2.1.178658 --- Feb 09, 2011 - PNA "Navgear GTX-60"", but dates on file system (usually) mean nothing about the version date.
BTW, nabi did here great job, I really miss him...

You are right, I overlooked that one, I may need glasses
And nabi, ... yes, he is missed a lot on Navitotal
