Requests--Make your requests for iGo-Primo here

Hi guys.

I have tried numerous iGo builds with my philips CED 780 wince device to no avail (they either crash, or refresh at 1/2 a frame a second). This isn't so much of a request for software (if anybody has it though please link me, you're gonna save me a heap of time). Today, the people at my local auto store were kind enough to let me copy the factory shipped card, the only problem is the sd card hardware identifier isn't allowing me to load the software on my device. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Only clue I have been able to get is the version out of a hex editor... :/

"9...6...1.3...3.2.9.6.5.6...B.....P.r.i.v.a.t.e.B.u.i.l.d..."

Many Thanks,
Greg.

Before I get started, please realize that I am a newbie as well as being an "older" senior Grannie. I have downloaded the iGo-Primo 2.49.6.13 complet torrent by Yurbuh Tuggly. I was sure that I followed all the directions. All went well with setting up the 1st part, but when I loaded the ++US-Canada & Mexico [building,map,poi]_HERE_2014.Q2.rar map, it was not soooo... good. I couldn't create a route, find an address or anything else that I tried. Stated that it could not find a road nearby. I drove to different places, all with the same result. I have tried to read through many different posting, but I either don't understand the suggestions or I am afraid to try them for fear of ruining something. Any help or suggestions would certainly be appreciated.

Here is the specs for my nav unit:

-Eonon D5152
-VW Golf Tiguan MK6 Jetta [also for Eos-mine]
-2 DIN car dvd player GPS touch radio
-uses Microsoft WinCE6
-CPU:SIRF atlas V--500 MHZ
-GPS COM: 2
-CPS BAUD: 9600
-SDRAM: 128 MB
-map storage mode: microSD card
-Max channels:64
-sensitivity: 161 Dbm
-cold start:385
-warm start: less than 32s
-hot start:less than 1s
-max altitude: 18,000M
max velocity: 515M/S

Hope all this means something to someone, so that I can use my navigation system.[all foreign to me!!!]
Thank you so much for any help that I receive.

Did you unrar the file and put every file in the desired folder? (should create the folder if not existant)
Have the files the needed (.fbl, .poi, ...) extensions (meaning, are the files for Primo) ?
maps-buildings-dem-poi-f82/where-put-map-related-files-igo-primo-t11326.html

When you go into Primo menu, help, about, I think click on "more", you can see what maps are present and valuable (black, non valuable files are shown in red).

OK, this is what I have found.
When I viewed the SD card on my computer here are the results:

Primo2 folder
device.nng

When opened Primo2

-primo2-content-building-opened file-all 3DC & 3 DL file
-primo2-content-map- map folder [opened=all FBL& HNR files]
- basemap_R3_NIMA_2012.03_120402.fbl
-primo2-content-poi-poi folder-opened-all poi files

only have 2 voice files

When SD card in vehicle-primo-more-content-map-base map only

Tried putting card in multiple times. Also tried to move car and restart x2
Remained the same.
Guess this explains why I can't find any roads etc.
What can I do?

@ cartopanda
Any igo is suited for Philipines, just add maps and other content.

@ shuegal
Only the basemap is written in black, the other files are all in red?
What licenses are in the license folder? Looks like a license missing needed for (newer) Navteq

@Katastorfe
In answer to your question, in the map content, the base map is in black and there is not further maps shown at all.

The license folder, it contains-
-server configs
-activation codes
-7 files by Becker [EURUS]
-full Europe map+ lic
-Game _boards lic
-3 iphone LYC files
-11 LYC files

That's it. Hope this helps. Your answers sound so encouraging.
Thanks

I am afraid I must say that your answer is not enough for me to give the solution. I need more and esp. precise information.
I think I know which licenses are included in the torrent. What I don't know for sure is how well these licenses are suited for the US maps and esp. for the latest US maps like you have the HERE_2014.Q2. I am European, I never download other continent maps. But I am hoping the licenses are okay.
Can you tell me if in the content folder is a subfolder "map" ? Is the subfolder called "map" and not "maps"? It should be "map" but a mistake is easily made and the "maps" folder wont be recognized. And there is only one "map"-subfolder and in that subfolder are the basemap.fbl and the other files with that extension? Or is the file structure different?
In the folder, how do the file names look like? Something like "HERE_R3_ARIZONA_2014Q2.fbl"? I want you to write down at least one exact name here and confirm that all (!!) files have the same layout ( in my exemple "HERE_R3_xxxxxx_2014Q2.fbl" where xxxxx is the state) or at least have the same date. All content in the map folder (fsp, fpa, ftr, fda, fbl, etc) should be of the same version date as the map (fbl) files, otherwise they would appear as inactive content.

Further more, before I forget, you should update the global.cfg file to see the latest POI.
And last but not least: until you get it all working, delete the save folder before restart!

@katastrofe
Hope this email will be more precise.
In the content folder, there is a sub-folder called map not maps.
This is what is in the 1 map sub-folder there is - a map[fbl, hnr] 2014-11-18 10:28... File folder
and BASEMAP_R3_NIMA_2012.03_120402.fbl 2012-07-07 2:00pm FBL file
Both are in black.
When I open Content - map-open map sub-folder- map file folder and basemap FBL file.
These are 3 examples of the contents of the map file folder.

Canada_83_HERE_2014.Q2_141017.fbl 2014-11-17 9:10A..... FBL File
Mexico_83_HERE_2014.Q2_140818.fbl 2014-11-17 9:11A....FBL File
Mexico_HERE_Easy_2014.Q2_140825.hnr 2014-11-15 4:33A... HNR File
All FBL files are the same day, and all HNR files are the same day. There are 10 HNR files - 5 for Mexico and 5 for North America.
I have deleted the SAVE folder. I don't know how to go about updating the global.cfg file.

Thanks again for taking your time in this matter, I appreciate it.

This is the latest global_cfg file, credits to nyky : post140103.html#p140103
Click on the link, then right click on the square, chose download. In your primo/content should be a folder global_cfg. Replace the zipped file. That is all.

The maps names and dates look okay to me. But this is unclear and needs some light. It may be clear t o you but consider I don't see trough your eyes.

Both are in black.
When I open Content - map-open map sub-folder- map file folder and basemap FBL file.

When I say that maps that are no good are listed in red and good ones in black then I mean you see in in Primo running, menu>help>about>more>maps (I am pretty sure this is the path, my device is not in front of me). But what I am a bit confused about is the file structure.
That structure must look like this: a content folder, in it the different subfolders (map, POI, DEM, speedcam, scheme, voice, lang, ....). One subfolder is the map folder and in that map subfolder are all the .fbl files (the maps) and other files like .hnr ( as explained: maps-buildings-dem-poi-f82/where-put-map-related-files-igo-primo-t11326.html), so no sub-sub folder with maps as I think I understand from your answer.

OK, let's try again. Boy, I am making you work.
I realized later, the red and black map description was only when SD card is in the vehicle.
Now, as to the map situation. Yes I have contents, then map sub-folder containing another map file folder and base map. To actually see the different maps[eg. Canada, Mexico, Arizona etc] I have to open the map file folder contained in the map sub-folder. This is the same for poi and buildings. Have I doubled up on these folders?
Thanks

It seems you have.
You can only have one map folder in content with the files, same for POI, etc. So move the maps in the right spot and you are done.

Thank you so very much katastrofe. You were so helpful, and I truly appreciated your patience with me. You have made my day, or week or is it month? I am walking around my house with a giant smile because of all your hard work.
