Hi what unit should i buy so i can get igo primo tmc working?

Ive got a Navman S70 running Primo but i cant get the traffic working any ideas?

Do i ned this for it to work?

The S-70 has no built-in internal TMC hardware, so yes, you would need to purchase their external TMC Module/Antenna at least.
Whether this add-on would be automatically identified by Primo--or whether you would have to assign baud and port settings for it in sys.txt....I don't know.

On Navman and Mio's the TMC only works with the original SmartST_CE software.

There seems to be some sort of encryption or the hardware driver is within the original programme, either way many have tried and failed to get TMC working on Navman/Mio's.

None of my devices have internal TMC so i wouldn't know, Maybe another member can recommend something.

If you want a totally different unit, selected Medion Go-Pal's have (internal with external antenna wire) TMC, Bluetooth, FM Transmitter, can easily run Primo, and can be configured to use TMC successfully after a bit of fiddling.
There are probably MANY others--more and less expensive, but I have personal positive experience with a Go-Pal.

I have an older Medion Gopal and it was an excellent little device, and unbrickable as well.

You have Spirit software not SmartST_CE software, As far as i know it was the SmartST_CE software that gave problems.

TMC is free and unencrypted in the UK broadcast nationally alongside Classic FM and locally on local radio stations.

Any body here has experience on the ONLINE LIVE traffic working in Primo?

There is a Online Live Traffic icon left top of the screen, now I have my GPS connnected to 3G internet, but still can not get any live traffice events. Any settings need to be done?

Hi, i also have moov spirit S-505 , can you tell me how to fix tmc .
For me it's not working.
I have version 9.2.1.179499 (Febr 15 2011).
Is there any particular setting in sys.txt?
