Edit primo voice files

Postby Gumdrop » Wed Nov 27, 2013 6:28 am

Hi, Running Primo 2.4, What I am looking for is to edit a primo voice file, which I cant find. For all the alerts I have sounds, thats fine. When I am over the speed limit, she tells me ( the speed limit is)whatever the speed limit is on that road. Thats what I would like to edit, to something like (slow down you idiot, the speed limit is). I have got rid of all the lines in sys.txt in regards to the speed cams, and every thing still works as I want. I have found info.ini inside the voice folder, I got rid of the audio folder as it only has a wav file greeting, then edit the info.ini to greeting what ever you want to be greeting with when you chose that voice.
But, for the life of me I cant find (the speed limit is)voice file to edit. Have been into data zip, global.cfg, all voice file I can find.
I only started this thinking, well, how hard can it be...B-)
In the old primo days, cant remember which version, it used to be in sys.txt

Can anyone shed any light on this at all..

Mate click on Primo/Content/Voice in voice folder click on the voice you want to change. select info file from the list and click on it. You will be able to edit the text in that file to what ever you want.

cheers

Yep Baz, thats the file I have altered with the welcome message for the voice file, which works when you choose it..I dont believe any of the other lines are used.
But the line ( the speed limit is) not there, or anywhere else that I can find..
to try to make it easy, I have only one voice file Karen.

Yep, thats right. A whole bunch of em...She only (in my case)used one of them,& only if you got rid of the audio folder with a welcome message testsound.oog file, it then resorts back to info.ini for the welcome message.
The file I had to edit was dictionary.voice. and now she can give me a lot of trash talk if I go over the speed limit.
It works great...

Hi Gumdrop, not to be a pain in the arse but do you think you can write step by step (like a tutorial) how to do this, including how to edit the files and save them again. Only if you have the time.
