GMXT's ERRLOG.TXT on Nokia 5800XM

I am using GMXT on Nokia 5800XM.

From ERRLOG.TXT that is located on MemoryCard\Garmin\Apps\Symbian, I got these statements :

Those errors were collected in this month only and happened at previous months either.

At the time errors happened, the GMXT became "Freeze" (usually after recalculating the route) and quit after pressing "the red Button" (Call Ended). I have to restart the GMXT to continue navigating.

Is there anyone knows how to avoid these matter based on ERRLOG.TXT above? Is there anything I should do or something wrong on my GMXT?

Thank you in advance.

Please don't copy-paste log files here! For log files attach it here!

This can happen cause low ram memory on your phone, if you have some task manager, check do you have many applications opened in same time when you use garmin xt, and close them! Another thing what version of Garmin XT for Symbian you have installed?

Use latest version Garmin XT Symbian! Check do you have selected option to save battery on your phone , if you have selected that option, deactivate the power save mode, when the power save mode is turned on some apps dont work properly.

Another thing, try this:
- set the map to be 2d with north up (and not 3d)
- set illumination on display to always.

And do this, delete GARMIN.NVM file, located in \Garmin\GARMIN.NVM (from device memory) to reset GMXT!

Sorry for pasting the log here since I thought maybe somebody could analyze it beside I thought its size only a few kilo bytes.:unknw_mini:

I do have Task Manager Applications and always close them all before navigating with GMXT.

As stated at the log, I am using GMXT v5.00.60. I don't have any Power Saver application installed that's why I always bring portable Battery Charger.

I agree setting backlit display would avoid the program crash. But it was happened on previous version of GMXT. Set map to be 2D make me sad since the feature of 3D is the most interesting on GMXT comparing to another my Garmin GPS (76CSx).

You are absolutely right! It seems I must reset the GMXT before navigating completely.

Thanks

No problem ;), next time better upload your log .txt file ;) it's looks better and for thread is better! That's ok, to close all opened app, cause garmin xt for symbian needs more RAM memory... 5.00.60 isn't latest oficially version, latest is 5.00.50

garmin xt all versions

that version 5.00.60 is some modified version for asean garmin xt version, and adapted too in english, but i'm not sure is that version full functionally!

Then you have to decide between nice feature and crashing :) , 3D isn't planned for smartphones, ppc, cause etc. , cause it needs much free ram memory, but smartphones, ppc, today spend so much ram memory, with their os, high def. interface, like manilla for ppc, etc., and with 20-30 mb free ram memory is difficult to run 3D view! That's for only compatible garmin devices (4x0 Series,400x Series,420x Series, 5x0 Series, 500x Series, 520x Series, 7xx, 8xx)

You can try it, if you want to use that 3d view :).
