2002 BMW 525I (Latest Map CD?

Have just yesterday had this vehicle dropped off, it has a 2002 Digital Map CD in the back of the vehicle what is the latest update for this unit? I have the widescreen head unit in the Dash, will I need a firmware update or can I simply install the latest Nav CD?

Thanks for that, I have just managed to source a copy online, does this also upgrade the firmware or is there no need for CD Based Nav's?

That is only a map. There is no software on CDs. Burn with ImgBurn on the slowest speed on your PC, then just put the cd in navigation.

Can the Head unit in my BMW be upgraded with the DVD Version, I have the widescreen TV Head unit 2002.

You can change easily only the navigation unit in the trunk. What model do you have? This is the DVD unit called MK4. If you have CD based navigation you can swap it with MK4.
