STEP BY STEP INSTALLATION

Happy file (No REG needed - to be replace with original) : [Only Registered Users Can See Links]

Installation Guide :
1. Download 5 file Papago X5 Android Thailand from here :[Only Registered Users Can See Links]
2. Extract on your PC. You will get folder NaviTH.
3. Download APK file from above link. Chose as your device system, Eclair 2.1orFroyo 2.2 type Then put on SDcard root directory.
4. Copy folder NaviTH from PC to SDCard root directory.
5. Replace libpapago.so inside folder NaviTH with Happy file.
6. Go to FileExplorer, then execute APK file to install Papago X5 on your Android.
7. Go to setting menu to switch on GPS function.
8. Run your Papago X5

Simply step you must follow.
1. Install X5 Android (as Trial Mode)
>> Full program & Map : [Only Registered Users Can See Links]

or
>> Go to #1 post for complete X5 Collection.
How to install find also on #1 post.
2. After papago running well (on trial mode), exit and replace libpapago.so with Happy File.
Happy File :
X5TH & X5SEA & X5IND

[Only Registered Users Can See Links]
[Only Registered Users Can See Links]

3. Go setting--> Application--->Manage Application----> select your X5 program.
4. There is many option : uninstall, moveto SD ( in froyo), clear DATA. Please push clear DATA to delete all data record inside phone memory.
>> This procedure is to avoid trial mode or registraion screen even you have using Happy file.
5. After "Clear DATA" then run again your X5 program.
6. You will get Full Version on X5 on your phones.

Update Map.
Go to folder NaviTH/Maps or NaviSEA/Maps/MAL or NaviIND/Maps/IND or only NaviSEA/Maps and you will find many file with R51_SSC......
Replace all file there with new release papago for Android Map for your contry.
That's it. Your map will updated!

I have compiled all the information I have found in this thread for Galaxy Tab. I managed to get X5 installed, showing the latest maps BUT no navigation. Can someone advice what went wrong?

Step by step Guide (X5 in English)

1. Download the free app "Spare Parts" from Android Market.
2. Install "Spare Parts" on the Galaxy Tab.
3. Uncheck the "Compatibility Mode" option.
4. Reboot the Galaxy Tab.
5. Download the APK2.2 from [Only Registered Users Can See Links]
6. Download the Main Program and Thailand maps from [Only Registered Users Can See Links]
7. Extract by clicking on File 1, and you will get a folder NaviTH.
8. Download the Happy file (NaviTH_Eclair_2.1) from [Only Registered Users Can See Links]
9. Replace the file libpapago.so under \NaviTH with the one from the Happy file.
10. Copy all the content to the SD card root directory including the APK and NaviTH directory.
11. Install Papago! X5 application by clicking on the APK file.
12. Switch "On" the GPS function on Galaxy Tab.
13. switch "On" for Use wireless network from Settings > Location and security.
14. Run Papago! X5
15. Choose the "Menu" (first on-screen button on the right) to goto Menu.
16. Choose the right arrow to goto the next page.
17. Choose Settings (the purple icon with the gear icon).
18. Choose the "UI Language" (second from top).
19. Choose the "English" (first from top).
20. Exit Papago! X5
21. Copy out the file "R51_SSC.hdr" (Map header file) from the directory \NaviTH\MapsAndroid_101103E_And_Z.
22. Replace the map files in the directory \NaviTH\MapsAndroid_101103E_And_Z
23. Copy back the file "R51_SSC.hdr" (Map header file) into the directory \NaviTH\MapsAndroid_101103E_And_Z.
24. Run Papago! X5

For those who's using Papago Android version, do you notice the same problem of when you speed up at 70-80km/h or more, the icon is left ~10meters behind (2-3 seconds)? For example, when you are driving straight line, and there's a junction to the left (you're not entering that junction), when you are already reached the junction, the icon of Papago display is still ~10 meters before the junction.

It's only accurate when you are 40km/h below. Is this the case? I just want to know because I believe some smartphone has more processing power that most PND thus _may_ improve it's performance a bit. Is this the case?

I've been using Powermap Z9 and this problem seems fixed in my PND, but Papago X5 SE and Papago X7 still having this problem. Can somebody let me know the how the Android version perform?

Copy NaviSEA folder and libpapago to your storage then only install the application. If you install the application 1st before copying NaviSEA it will not work.
Make sure you delete the content inside save folder.

I got it cracked like this:
1) Download NaviSEA folder from Papago.
2) Download libpapago.so
3) Replace the libpapago.so in the NaviSEA folder with the libpapago.so which you downloaded.
4) Delete ALL files in the save folder (important)
5) Get app from android market.
6) Launch and see if it works.

Hey the trick is... you need to delete it first and replace the libpapago.so in NaviSea before copying into the root directory of your sd card.. hope it helped

How did you do it? I've tried so many times to uninstall and reinstall everything, but the it keep asking for Registration screen everytime I start the app.
Fyi: my device is HTC Desire on 2.2 Froyo, rooted with Leedroid custom Rom v2.2f+A2SD. I'm running PAPAGO! IND (aee35e9d$IND_ANDROID_X5_20100806 as downloaded from the PAPAGO website).

I have successfully install it and it is working. But i notice it is not the latest MFM maps (currently papago using is MFM 100415).
But MFM site has already update it with MFM 101201. I have download it and replace the maps file but it say "can not open map".

If you want papago x5 with english menu working on Galaxy Tab or Galaxy S and using Malaysia Map, please use X5 Thailand version.
1. Install Thailand NaviTH +Thailan Map with apk for GTab.
2. Use Happy file libpapago.so for Froyo.
3. Run program.
4. Exit program and replace maps file inside Maps folder using Malaysia Map, Except *.hdp----->keep *.hdr using Thailand Map header.
5. Run program again and you will get papago X5 with english menu using Malaysia Map working on GTab or Galaxy S.

Happy file Eclair 2.1 working also on Galaxy S-froyo but installation on internal memory.
so intall again X5 on internal mem using APK for froyo, put happy file esclair "libpapago.so", use Thailand Map for start up 1st time.
After got running you can use Indonesia or Malaysia Map but keep *.hdr using Thailand Map header.

I have encounter problem on my galaxy s 2.2 froyo, using papago x5 my&sg. Sometimes it work and somtimes can't detect gps at all. Is it because of the software or the hardware ? Previously, using acer liquid e 2.2 froyo don't have this kind of problem. Did anyone have the same problem ?

also I am trying to run the Maps from the Vietnam version (it is also R51_) but it is pretty hard so far. The Vietnamese distributor did some editings on the R51_SSC.hdr file instead of the .so file.hmm

Hi, there is 2 files 'libpapago.so and libpapago2.so' in PPG X5 Thai version, i replaced only ' libpapago.so' with using Happy File in my Froyo v2.2 Samsung Galaxy tab
but no success at all !!!.
Still asking for Serial No. ( still trial version ) I used Thai Version cos' it is the only version with 600X1024 Res. and Portrait/Landscape mode.

I download the thailand apk link but it is in a zip files. When i unzip it, there are 3 folders (res, meta_inf,com) and 3 files. I cant find teh apk files. Looks very strange why it is happening to my phone. FYI, my phone is HTC desire HD with 2.2 Froyo. TQ in advance

The APK file is actually compressed file like *.zip or *.7zp or *.rar .
When you have compress program on computer like winrar, winzip or 7Zip that you sett associate with *.apk then you will see *.apk like winzip file.......
Right click on that file and see real file extension, it's could be *.apk not *.zip.

instead 'just' change the extension from zip file to apk files eg.' papago X5.zip' to 'papago X5.apk'

When i use the old map where the file name starts with R51_ is OK but when use R21_ this problem happens
i think u must get the R51_version...
if u r using the MFM version
after run the file MFM-PPG-110126C.....choose the version for android from the drop down menu

Please check inside organic folder, If there is any 1024x600 folder then you can use in Galaxy Tab.
Map :
Use MFM map for Android (R51_SSC.....)
Put all file inside folder : NaviSEA/Maps/MALAYSIA
Use happy libpapago.so----->replace original.
Delete save.

Try again.

If you cannot find folder 1024x600 (this is Galaxy Tab resolution) inside NaviSEA then you cannot use X5 MY/SG for Galaxy Tab.
Please download X5 Android Thailand, there is available resolution for Galaxy Tab (1024x600) and also support English+Thai.

Hi,

Mine, install X5TH in Galaxy5 searching working, no setting needed.
But when you use M7.1 then some setting needed to make searching function working.

Probably your problem come from your map files...
1. Make sure you copy map files complete, no mis-file.
2. Make sure you are using correct map for Android (R51_.....) and map header using original header map from Thailand map (R51_SSC.hdr).
3. Follow instruction on page 15 and run using original Thailand map. Test searching function then when you are using Thailand map searching function working that's problem could be from your map file.

After download 5 files, extract on your SD card and you will have folder NaviTH.
Get APK file from above link and copy to your sdcard.
Install APK file.
Run X5.
From this step you will run X5 in Thai Language and Map Thailand.
Go to setting change language and sound to english then exit program.
Then if you want to use Malaysia map and landscape :
1. Delete inside Maps folder but not for header file.
2. Copy all mfm maps for android but not with header map.
3. copy standard_L.mb6 from above link.

OK, Run again....Good luck

I follow all your step and dl the TH version and use happy file that you give. after installing, the program said "Unsupported Resolution: 480x720" i'm using Galaxy Tab and i already check in the Organic folder, there is 1024x600 file with other resolution file. Do i miss something? p.s. i try to delete other resolution folder and left the 1024x600 folder but it is no use. thanks!

could you please give me your email and i'll send you the apk and happy file that works with my galaxy tab. Satellite lock very fast. The tricks is you need to install spareParts apps from android market. after that, follow the instruction from previous post. It'll solve your problem. I am also faced the same thing before. and now everything alright.

If you are using Happy libpapago.so file then no need to enter imei or key.
Have you try to replace libpapago.so using happy ones?

Replaced with latest maps after installation.

Copy NaviSEA folder and paste it inside your storage root directory.
