Instructions

1. Download all parts of your area.
2. Unpack anywhere.
3. Copy folder "tomtom" to your SD card.
4. Copy included .apk to your SD card.
5. Disable any internet connection in your phone (Put it into Airplane Mode)
6. Install the .apk
7. Launch the program. Let it load all it needs. Then close program.
8. Enable internet connection.
9. Enjoy!

As a Samsung Galaxy S4 user, I had to edit the .metadata.xml to show the file path as being /mnt/extSdCard to get it to work on the SDcard.

Hi i have done the steps correctly in the instructions but i am getting an error saying unable to connect to TomTom try again later.

with 2 buttons saying try again which if you press you get the same error, the second being exit which just takes you to the phone menu.

I am using a samsung s5 on lollipop

You need to edit the .metadata.xml file to point to the correct filepath.

i followed all the instructions but likewise its saying unable to connect to tomtom try again later
if i need to edit the .metadata.xml file - where is that?
im on a lg g3 - its not rooted or anything

Copied from a torrent site

1. Check that all network connections are disabled

2. Chances are, you have not copied the "tomtom" folder to the correct location. Uninstall TomTom and repeat the procedure by copying the "tomtom" folder to the correct location. DO NOT COPY the "com.tomtom.xxxxx" folder, copy the "tomtom" folder

3. Change the "url location" tag in the ".metadate.xml". This tag will need to match the file location for your specific device. In most cases, you will need to change it from "file://mnt/sdcard/tomtom/com.tomtom.xxxxx" to "file://mnt/sdcard0/tomtom/com.tomtom.xxxxx"

This file is hidden on the Android, so please turn on "See hidden files".

I prefer to use ES File Explorer File Manager for managing files on Android

I have the S4, recently updated to Lollipop 5.0.1, this broke my Tomtom 1.3.2, western europe with speed cam.

I have tried everything, Western europe, all of europe, Tomtom1.4, Tomyom1.3.2, nothing worked. The only one that worked is this one by (tomtom android U.K. & Ireland - patrickvanloo2)

First create a folder called "files" within the folder called "files" (same name), and move all the files in the original "files" folder to the new one, so your sd card looks like this.
(Galaxy S4)\Card\Android\data\com.tomtom.ukireland\files\files
Make sure .metadata.xml is copied into the the first "files" folder (the one that is underlined here) unmodified.

Then Copy the "TomTom_UK_and_Ireland_v1.4_1729544_Cr@cked_o.apk" to the root of the SD-Card

Do all the copying using an SD card reader, do not use your phone with the USB connector.
After copying, reinstall the SD card to the phone, turn off WiFi, put the phone to Airplane mode.
Run the APK, then start the Tomtom, it will crash the first time, but then turn the phone off,and back on and it should work fine.

My only complaint is that it has no Speed-cam POI display feature, and Advance speech is a bit shaky.
But it works well...

Thought this was v945, but it is v940 which i already have.

Installed on internal of S4 with lollipop, simply copy both folder and apk, turn off wifi, start tomtom and it runs, then turn on wifi.
download latest zip folder i.e postcodes and put them in same area where the actual map is so you can search via postcode also
