1. Check that you have at least 591Mb of free storage space, either on your internal phone memory or external storage. To look it up, go to your phone settings, and then data storage.

HI I can't get download link to work it fails to connect (problem loading page) a pity as its now the second of your uploaded links not working :thumbdown: , I sent you a PM about the last link which would not work with the same results as this one

just trying this on galaxy s5 did as per instructions

Instructions


1. Download all parts of your area.
2. Unpack anywhere.
3. Copy folder "tomtom" to your SD card.
4. Copy included .apk to your SD card.
5. Disable any internet connection in your phone (Put it into Airplane Mode)
6. Install the .apk
7. Launch the program. Let it load all it needs. Then close program.
8. Enable internet connection.
9. Enjoy!


as for step 7 never loaded what it needs

turned internet back on started tomtom and get this
unable to connect to tomtom.try again later

any pointers on what to do ????

rebooted phone a few times aswell

same here too i am totally bamboozled on what to do next ,even youtube is no help on this or any other search :022:

Did you put the apk and tomtom folder or just the tomtom folder
in the internal memory ???

I put both the tomtom folder & the .apk file on the internal memory, then installed the .apk

It's possible that your downloads are corrupt.

I have installed on Galaxy S2, Galaxy S3 and Nexus 7. All are running fine.

If you can't get it working, try this:

Re-install the .apk only and run it (no wifi). It will eventually fail so exit.

This should create 2 x empty com.tomtom. ukireland folders: One on internal storage in sdcard>Android>data and the same on external sd card.

If you drill down, the file structure will look like this: Android>data>com.tomtom.ukireland >files (the files folder will be empty)

On your original tomtom download, drill down through tomtom>com.tomtom. ukireland and you will come to a files folder and a metadata file.

Copy the files folder (whole folder) and the metadata file to inside the empty files folder created on your device. I copied mine to the external sd card>com.tomtom. ukireland >files. Exit to home screen.

Restart the europe app. It takes a little time to pick up the installed program info but within a minute or so you should be up and running.

Many people are finding that the application fails because they have a 'privacy guard' app blocking it. Make sure that it allows access to tomtom.

Hope this makes sense and helps.

As it should, i always place both apk and folder on internal of my S4, turn off wifi, then install apk.
I always have Fastergps installed and this version works perfectly :023:

installed fine but maps are screwed up get black screen with a few blue pixels menu and everything else works fine, any ideas? this was on a lg g3 maybe reslolution on these phones?
